Pick up and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Amabere Caves - The driver guide will meet you at the airport or hotel and take you on a scenic drive through the countryside, where you can admire the stunning landscapes and traditional homes. Enjoy a lunch stop in Fort Portal town, known as Uganda’s tourism capital, before heading to Nyakasura to begin your exploration of the Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves. Here, you will visit the caves and the waterfall after a brief walk. Continue your guided tour to Lake Kigere, where you can climb a small hill for a breathtaking view of Lake Kigere, Lake Saaka, and Lake Nyabikere Craters. You’ll also enjoy a magnificent view of the Rwenzori Mountains National Park in the background. Proceed to your lodge for an overnight stay.
Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Walk
Kanyanchu Visitor Center - Start your day early by reporting to the ranger station for a chimpanzee tracking adventure in the forest. This experience will also allow you to see other primates such as colobus monkeys, mangabeys, baboons, and bushbabies. A knowledgeable guide will accompany you, making your walk informative, enjoyable, and rewarding by sharing insights about the flora and fauna.
Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary - In the afternoon, with a guide, explore the forest trails in search of various bird species and rare flora and fauna in the Bigodi Swamp area. Known as a bird-watching haven, the swamp hosts 138 bird species that can be observed during guided walks along the boardwalk trail and viewing platforms. These may include the White-spotted Flufftail, Yellow-spotted Barbet, Hairy-breasted Barbet, Yellow-billed Barbet, Western Nicator, Grey-winged Robin-chat, White-tailed Ant-thrush, Brown-backed Scrub-robin, Black-and-white Shrike-flycatcher, Brown-throated Wattle-eye, Superb Sunbird, Brown-crowned Tchagra, Bocage’s Bush-shrike, Black Bishop, White-breasted Negrofinch, and Black-crowned Waxbill, among others.
Drive from Kibale Forest National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park - After breakfast, embark on a road journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through a spectacular landscape of open grasslands, the Rift Valley Escarpment, and diverse woodlands. Enjoy a drive through the park’s lush hills and take a Crater drive through the volcanic craters on a 24 km scenic route filled with lakes, forests, and savannah.
Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Safari
Queen Elizabeth National Park - Start your day with an early breakfast, then join your driver guide for an exciting game drive along the Kasenyi trail. This offers excellent opportunities to see various animals such as waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, elephants, buffaloes, lions, warthogs, and a variety of bird species.
Kazinga Channel - After lunch, head to the landing site near the luxurious Mweya Safari Lodge for a captivating boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. The scheduled boat cruise, starting at 2:00 pm, provides stunning views of the beautiful scenery and landscape. Observe animals like elephants, warthogs, buffaloes, and waterbucks drinking along the banks, and see large groups of hippos and Nile crocodiles in the water. Aquatic birds such as herons, fish eagles, kingfishers, hornbills, cormorants, and bee-eaters can also be spotted. After the approximately 2-hour boat cruise, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Departure to Kampala with a Stop at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe
Kampala - On the final day of your safari, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out of the lodge. Meet your driver guide for the transfer back to Kampala.
Uganda Equator - En route, stop in Mbarara town for lunch and make another stop at the Equator in Kayabwe to purchase souvenirs and take photos. Continue the journey to Kampala, arriving in the early evening. Upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or at any convenient location.
