Start your journey with the Bentota Village Tour(https://example.com), a cultural experience that promises to immerse you in the local way of life. This tour, available from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, offers a comprehensive look at the region’s natural beauty and cultural heritage. From the Bentota River Boat Safari, where you might spot crocodiles and vibrant birdlife, to the Kandevihara Buddhist Temple, home to one of the tallest Buddha statues in the world, each stop is a testament to the area’s rich history and biodiversity.
“Fantastic! Highly Recommend - Where to begin! From start to finish it was wonderful, Sam organised everything for us and Dinesh our driver was so kind and sweet and waited for us at each stop. We started with a River Safari where we saw crocodiles, monkeys (with one peeing on my sister, a memory that will last forever), birds, lizards and more. We then went to a gem museum and from there went for a delicious lunch! The food was the best we have had since being here. After lunch we went to see the Sea Turtle Conservation which was something we will remember forever. Lastly we went to a Tea Factory where we learnt so much about tea and the making of it. Thank you so so much to BTM for organising such a fabulous day out, we have created memories that we will cherish forever.” - Reviewed on 2023-07-29
Indoor Escapes Amidst the Rain
With the rain setting a cozy mood, Kalutara’s indoor attractions offer a perfect refuge. The town is home to several cultural and historical sites that promise to enrich your understanding of Sri Lanka’s diverse heritage. The Galle Day Tour(https://example.com), available from 6:30 AM, is a must for those eager to explore the colonial history and natural beauty of the region.
This all-inclusive tour takes you on a journey through the historic Dutch Fort in Galle, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The fort’s well-preserved architecture and vibrant history make it a fascinating place to explore, especially on a rainy day. The tour also includes a visit to a tea plantation, where you can learn about the intricate process of tea production, a staple of Sri Lankan culture.
“Incredible experience - We travelled to Galle from Colombo. The drive was around 3-4 hours. We stopped by at the turtle sanctuary first and it was such an incredible experience. We got to touch and hold the turtles and saw all the different turtles they had at the sanctuary. The staff were very friendly and informative. We then headed to the tea plantation and a gem store. The tea plantation was an eye opening experience and the best one I’ve been to in Sri Lanka so far. Our guide at the tea plantation was very knowledgeable and we got to see how the tea was made and the processes behind it. My favourite part of the whole tour was visiting Galle Fort. The lighthouse is more stunning in person and there’s a beach you can swim in just behind the lighthouse. The boat safari at Bentato was lush, we got to see crocodiles, monkeys and got to hold a baby crocodile. The lunch which was provided was also quite delicious and our tour guide Sakun was lovely and very accommodating. If you’re thinking of going to Galle, go for it! You won’t regret it. You’ll have the best time.” - Reviewed on 2023-03-17
