Our local guides are excellent storytellers and they will transport you through time and the history of food. Small samples of regional traditional food and light lunch are included in our tour while you explore non-touristic parts of Kalamata. Spend 3 hours collecting memories and experiences! This tour is provided in English and French (upon request).

Must Do Tour of Kalamata Food - Our cruise was diverted to Kalamata due a storm in Sicily. We were fortunate to find this tour with Sara as our guide. Our tour was 7 stops (in 3 hours) to local shops where we tasted their wares. Everyone was so friendly and happy to share their expertise! At the end of the tour we had lunch! Overall it was a great experience with the people, culture, and food of Kalamata! Sara was amazing! This is a must do tour!

Lots of food and lots of good conversation. - I ate a lot of extremely delicious food (too much probably), learned a lot about local culture and history, met many interesting people like the baker and the beekeeper and had many interesting conversations with my guide Sara, maybe because I am a Gemini and she is s a Libra or maybe just because she is a very easy person to talk to.

Amazing food tour in Kalamata - We had the most wonderful Kalamata Food Tour with the best food tour guide ever: Sarah. She is such a warm, wonderful and funny person. She guided us around Kalamata and told us a lot about the city and the food traditions. We had an amazing time and recommend this food experience to all people visiting Kalamata.

DO YOURSELF A FABOUR... - We had a really enjoyable tour with Dora as our guide. She is contagipus with good humour and full of the history of Kalamata. Skipping breakfast is a must! We all enjoyed meeting the staff from the speciality shops and hearing their stories. This is a tour full of warmth, the pride in which people have perfected their craft is obvious and the joy of sharing their food with us added to the great food festival of this tour.

Delicious tour! - It was my first food tour—and definitely not the last! :) Sara was an amazing and very friendly guide. She introduced us not only to the traditional flavors of Kalamata but also to the city’s fascinating history. This tour is the perfect way to start a stay in Kalamata. Totally recommend! :) Thanks!

A must do in Kalamata - Sofia is very knowledgeable and passionate about the food and culture of Kalamata. The food and drinks we got to taste were absolutely delicious. We went back to buy some of the goods!
The pace was unhurried, jovial and one treat after the next.
The photos Sofia took of us will always remind us of wonderful time we had.
Hope others get to enjoy the same experience

Quick insight into Greek cuisine - The food tour was really interesting because you got to visit many different small traditional businesses. From a bakery to a butcher, a beekeeper, and even a market, it was very diverse.
What I also particularly liked was that it wasn't a sales event; you never felt pressured to buy anything.
It's highly recommended for a quick insight into Greek cuisine.
