- Kalambaka - Join this afternoon sunset hike to Meteora’s “secret” caves accompanied by a knowledgeable local mountain guide.
After a convenient pick-up (with our VIP minibus) from your hotel in Kalabaka or Kastraki the hike starts from the foothills of Meteora.
- Meteora - During this guided hike you will have the opportunity to discover some jaw-dropping “hidden gems” most travelers don’t know about like the thousand years old hermitages of Bandovas, the ancient monk’s prison, as well as the “hidden” hermit caves.
You will also learn all about the history and legends of Meteora directly from your local mountain guide.

Great hike in Meteora. - Harry was a great guide. He was very personable and shared interesting information that we used the next day when we went to the monastaries. His tour gave us a different way to experience Meteora. The hike was beautiful.

Recommended!!! Better than bus tours! - Nickolas was an excelent guide. We were able to see a most of the atrractions from unusual prospectives. Highly recomended!!!

INCREDIBLE!! - This is the best thing we did in Meteora!! So much better than just visiting the monasteries!! If you like to hike: this tour is for you!!! The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the both the geological origins of the area and the history of the monasteries. He helped us determine which monasteries to visit the next day and even where to eat dinner. He went over and above to assure that our entire stay was enjoyable. Not just the 4 hours he spent with us on the tour.

A memory I’ll cherish forever - Despite my hotel being not on the map, Nicolas picked me up bright and cheery! I ended up being the only one on the tour which made it super surreal! We hiked at a perfect pace, passing in between the towering rocks while stopping for the most incredible views. Nicolas was the best tour guide. Made sure I was doing alright, taking care of my safety while also pushing the boundaries with crazy cliff edge experiences. Plus he was very knowledgeable and was open to any conversation or any questions. Truly a once in a lifetime experience. If you enjoy nature and the beauty of Greece without the hustle bustle, you will LOVE THIS.

Hidden walks to the sunset - A worthwhile trip to see Meteora in another light! The hike was very well planned and well organized. Nicholas our guide was fantastic; patient, knowledgeable, earnest, good fun. Highly recommended.

Great Experience! - This is NOT a repeat of the Monastery Tour. It is an awesome hiking tour through the forests/caves at the bottom of the rocks. You get totally different views and get to experience being in and near the caves.
Water and an extremely knowledgeable guide are provided. Make sure you have hiking shoes and are able willing to hike up some rocky areas and stairs.
We did this as a group of 8 several 50 year olds and teens from 13 to 17.
All of us loved it, we felt we got a much fuller experience of Meteora.
