A day in Meteora with Thanos - We had a beautiful morning seeing the Meteora area and monasteries with our guide Thanos. He explained all of the history and significance of each monastery. We had stops for photos throughout the area, and he navigated the crowds and traffic with ease. I am so glad we booked this tour as we only had a short time in Kalambaka and felt we didn’t miss anything. Thanos gave us excellent recommendations for lunch and halva after the tour.

Starts at 08:30 and we are picked up from our hotel, super. It is not crowded and therefore our tour is smooth with one extra monastery that we are allowed to visit. That's a lot of climbing stairs, but it's definitely worth it. Meteora Tours provides a lot of information and the ride is controlled. Great value for money. Recommended!

Visit of Meteor - A 4h guided tour is the best way to visit the Meteor! We booked through Get Your Guide and it was perfect! Choose in the morning is much better!

Truly mesmerising! - I am still in awe. Early in the morning I was picked up at the hotel I stayed. I met the wonderful driver Nikos and wonderful tourguide Ioanna. Together with the three of us we went up the mountain. Truly amazing sights. Nikos grew up in Kalambaka so he knows the best stops, and Ioanna can tell you all sorts of information regarding the Meteora as she is an archeologist herself as well. I'm still in awe of the amazing tour. The sights, the sweet friendly connection with them, truly amazing! If you consider going, I would definitely recommend an early tour as there will be not many people there. I even had a moment to myself on the rocks with the sunrise. Therefore I was extra surprised how busy it got, just a couple hours later when the monasteries were open and I went up again to actually go inside. Once again, thank you Nikos, thank you Ioanna - afgaristo!

Beautiful experience - Excellent excursion to fully understand the origin of the Meteors and their history. The guide couple is very interesting, smiling, we visited several monasteries and stopped at great viewpoints. Recommended.
