A Journey Through Time in Kairouan

The Mystical Landscapes of Matmata and Djerba

The opportunity to have lunch at the Sidi Driss Hotel, a troglodyte dwelling itself, was a highlight of the trip. The hotel’s courtyard, famously used as a set in the Star Wars films, added a touch of cinematic magic to our visit.

Our final destination was the island of Djerba, a place steeped in history and culture. The island’s sandy beaches and vibrant markets were a feast for the senses. The El Ghriba Synagogue, a site of pilgrimage for many, was a poignant reminder of the island’s diverse cultural heritage.
