Calm and tranquil ... - The first thing you notice is the clear view across the bay to the smoking volcano. The small museum at the entrance is worth a quick visit before you enter the gardens proper. The gardens themselves are not huge, but are laid out in typical Japanese style. The trees, plants and waterways look like they’ve been there for centuries. They represent a clam tranquility. Takes about an hour to wonder round the various paths and soak-in the ambience.
