Great Day!! Safe, organized and informative! Peaceful way to experience Sakurajima. - We had a very nice e morning starting with a quick, guided tour of the visitors center and all its information. Our event started on time and ended on time. Our guide and his wife and young daughter live on the island so we received an excellent perspective of the sites and history of Sakurajima. The biking was easy as we were on high quality, Yamaha type 1 eBikes. Would highly recommend this experience.

A worthy tour - Rento was a great guide, knowledgeable and considerate. The bike climb to the observatory took some effort but the e-bike made it significantly achievable by regular folks. You get rewarded with a great view of the bay, mountain, and City. If you come from Kagoshima there is an easy ferry to Sakurajima followed by a <10 minutes walk to the visitor center. We took a taxi from the cruise port to the ferry. A worthy tour you should try if you have average physical capacity.

Explore sakurajima with a local! - Got a personalized tour of Sakurajima thanks to a lucky solo e-bike adventure! Rento-san shared so much about the island's history and geography. A minor bike mishap couldn't stop the fun – Rento-san saved the day (and kept the photo ops coming!). A must-do for anyone wanting to explore Kagoshima and learn about local culture!

Great tour of West Sakurajima - Fun and interesting trip that takes you up to the observation tower and back down in a loop on quite new and powerful e-bikes. Renton was kind, friendly, and conscientious. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

This e-bike tour & Rento’s guided ride are a must do - A+! - My 3 cousins & I decided to take this 3-hour e-bike tour while visiting our grandparents’ furusato (hometown) of Kagoshima to see Sakurajima as it is of major importance to the local region. Rento, our guide, was very helpful, knowledgeable & friendly. From the introduction in the visitors’ center all the way up to the upper viewing area & back, we had a fun, memorable time. All of us would highly recommend taking time to work this into your itinerary while visiting Kagoshima. A+ experience!

Excellent Experience! - This is the only formal "experience" I booked during our two week trip to Japan. I went with my adult daughter. This tour exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend it. Rento was the sweetest guy! His English is good, he is very knowledgeable about the volcano and island (he lives on the island), and was very patient. I am 53 and in relatively good shape--but I hadn't spent much time on a bike in a while. I had never been on an e-bike. The first half (to the observation area) was a climb (Since "climb" is included in the title of the tour, I should have been more aware!). While an e-bike assists, a lot of effort is still required to bike uphill--especially getting started on an incline. I had to push my bike a few times on the way up, but Rento was super patient and encouraging. We were lucky to be the only ones in the tour that day! The observation tower was cool and the snack was yummy. The downhill on the way back was super fun! The best part of all is that Sakurajima decided to have the biggest eruption in 15 years and it started the day of our tour! Got some excellent photos. 4 days later, when returning to Kagoshima from a few days on Yakushima, the volcano was still erupting. I highly recommend Rento and Volcano Life Journey!

Fascinating volcano ride by e-bike! - A really great experience cycling with Rento this morning. The bikes were easy to use and made the hill climb easy! Super views of the volcano on the way up and from the observatory and a lovely ride down through the forest where we were lucky to see the volcanic plumes. Rento was very knowledgeable about the geology and geography of Sakurajima - we learnt a lot and enjoyed the delicious orange juice and sweet potato snacks provided!
