• Eaglecrest Ski Area - The tour kicks off at Eaglecrest Ski Area, located at an elevation of approximately 1200 feet. Here, participants can take in the picturesque surroundings while preparing for the bike ride.
• Tongass National Forest - As the ride progresses, participants will descend to sea level, enveloped by the Tongass National Rainforest. Stops will be made in Alaska’s serene muskeg, offering a glimpse into the distinctive ecosystem of a bog and ancient rainforest, with towering Sitka spruces and Western hemlocks. The fresh air and scenic woods provide an opportunity to learn about the surrounding flora.
• Fish Creek - Upon reaching sea level, there will be a stop at Fish Creek, a stream where salmon spawn. The tour guide will explain the salmon life cycle, and participants can watch for nearby eagles. During spawning season, salmon can be seen swimming.
• False Outer Point - The ride concludes at False Outer Point, a stunning viewpoint. Participants can enjoy ocean vistas and observe marine life while the tour guides pack up the bikes.
