• Mendenhall Glacier - This tour is set in the estuarial area right in front of the Mendenhall Glacier, offering one of the most comprehensive views of the glacier in all of Juneau. Participants will be positioned further from the glacier compared to tours that visit or circle the visitors center. Please note that fog may impact visibility of the Mendenhall Glacier.

Discover the stunning coastline of Juneau on a small-group kayaking journey through the picturesque Mendenhall Wetlands. Keep your camera at the ready as you paddle past eagles perched in trees, harbor seals lounging on rocks, and perhaps even a curious sea lion or porpoise swimming nearby. From your kayak, enjoy a unique view of the magnificent Mendenhall Glacier, visible from six miles away as it winds through the mountain peaks.

This tour is purposefully limited to a maximum of 8 guests, ensuring a peaceful and intimate experience. Unlike other tours, each participant paddles their own single kayak, offering better control, comfort, and the chance to explore. (Double kayaks are available upon request.)

Participants will be fully equipped with a high-quality dry suit, ensuring warmth and dryness in all weather conditions. Our knowledgeable local guides provide hands-on instruction and support throughout the tour, making this adventure perfect for both first-time kayakers and those with previous experience.

• We will pick you up from the cruise ship port and then drive for 20 minutes to the North Douglas boat launch ramp. We will introduce equipment, go over safety protocols, and get everyone suited up and in their kayaks. We will be on the water for 2 hours, including a beach walk and snack break. The entire tour will take 3.5 hours.
