- Kemeri National Park - The Kemeri Bog, over 8000 years old, stands as one of Latvia’s largest bogs. In 2013, a boardwalk was installed to guide visitors through its most picturesque areas. This path immerses visitors in a landscape of moss, small pine trees, deep pools, tiny dark lakes, and the scent of wild rosemary. Observant visitors might spot the carnivorous sundew plant and various bird species such as wood sandpipers, white wagtails, tree pipits, and hear cranes in the distance. For those who prefer shorter walks, a 1.4 km route is available, while the 3.4 km great arc offers the chance to climb an observation platform for a stunning view of the bog from above.
- Jurmala open-air museum - The tour continues at the Open-Air Museum, which narrates the history of Jurmala, from a simple fishing village near Riga to one of the premier resorts of the Russian Empire. Dzintari Forest Park - Located in Jurmala, the Dzintari Forest Park caters to both active recreation enthusiasts and those who enjoy a relaxed stroll in the fresh pine air. Its most prized feature is a 200-year-old pine grove and protected habitats that have remained untouched. A 36-meter-high watchtower in the park’s center offers panoramic views of the Baltic Sea, dunes, pines, the city of Jūrmala, and, on clear days, parts of Riga.
Afterward, your guide will take you to a local restaurant to sample both traditional and contemporary Latvian cuisine. - Jomas Street - Jomas iela (Jomas Street) is the vibrant heart of Jurmala. Each summer, holidaymakers flock to this main street, believed to be the birthplace of the Jurmala Resort. Originally, Jurmala was mostly sand, with wind forming dunes and valleys, one of which became Jomas iela. This pedestrian street, over a kilometer long, is home to the town’s finest boutiques and most popular cafés and restaurants. Along the way, admire Jurmala’s iconic wooden architecture, a city hallmark for centuries. These charming buildings lead directly to the most popular beach, so remember to bring your swimwear if you plan to swim. After the beach, your guide will escort you back to your hotel or another location of your choice.
