Must Do!!!! - This was an amazing experience. The women dressed me in a kimono of my choice; so many beautiful colors and patterns. They were very kind, efficient and I could tell they loved their work. After they dressed me, I had my hair done with accessories. My sons and boyfriend were dressed very handsomely. Luke was our photographer. He was very friendly, talented and personable. He took a large variety of photos with different outdoor backgrounds, poses, etc. He emailed us the preliminary photos before we even left Tokyo. Highly highly recommend this!! Great cultural event to do with friends and family!!

This was such a wonderful... - This was such a wonderful experience. Everyone was so helpful and our photographer was great! They move this process like a well oiled machine so it went quickly but absolutely recommend. My photos turned out great!

Amazing Kimono Experience - I would highly recommend Yae Kimono rental! I had an incredible time as the staff were extremely friendly and professional and provided amazing service. There was no barrier to communication since the staff spoke many languages, including English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese. They helped me choose a kimono from the extensive selection of kimonos available, and I ended up picking one that I loved. I felt extremely comfortable throughout the entire process of picking and wearing the kimono, as well as hair and make-up, even as someone who doesn’t dress up or wear make up often. In addition to renting the kimono, I also tried their photo service, which was equally exceptional! The photographer was fantastic: he was funny and patient, brought me to spots that I wouldn’t have discovered on my own, and showed me various poses that yielded spectacular results. All in all, I would greatly recommend Yae Kimono rental if you are looking to try on a kimono, or have a cultural experience in Japan, or even just to take some fabulous photos to post online!

Very beautiful experience - I felt beautiful, they made me beautiful. They were amazing and I took the kimono all the way to shibuya. Note this is 30-40 min away from shibuya better if you book an earlier time you will get to keep it for longer

A Must for a day in Tokyo! - A must for a day in Tokyo! As there are several studios that provide this experience, we found this place amazing!!! The staff is friendly, helpful, and well organized. We got the photo package as well and our photographer was amazing!!! It was quite an education learning what goes into this traditional dress. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you for the memories.

Incredible Kimono Experience! - I had an incredible experience picking out my kimono, experiencing the process of getting the kimono on, getting my hair done, and getting photos taken. Went for couples Kimono experience! Our photographer was amazing, kind, suggested where to pose and how! The pictures are beautiful! I highly recommend.

A must do experience - We loved the whole experience. We felt like royalty and it was like getting ready for our wedding all over again.

Lovely yukata experience - My daughter visited Yae Kimono for her first Yukata dress up and photography session. We were warmly greeted by the staff who patiently helped her choose her favourite Yukata and coordinating accessories from a wide choice of colours & patterns. The shop is clean & tidy making it a pleasant visit. (It was less crowded later in the morning so it's more relaxed). Hair-do and make up were professionally done (lots of choices on hair accessories) preparing her for a great photo shooting session. We strolled around the small streets in Asakusa as well as the nearby Senso-ji. Our photographer is super friendly and he knew well the spots to take perfect photos (such as where to avoid the crowds) and he also showed her how to pose, that was great help :)! The photos were all beautifully taken and we are so happy to have done this despite the heat in mid-summer. My daughter enjoyed this experience very much. This made a perfect graduation gift.

Phenomenal experience! Very professional! - The staff were so helpful and friendly when picking out my kimono. Putting the kimono on, my privacy was always important to them. The photo shoot was so much fun and the pictures were amazing. The pictures were delivered to my email either the next day or the day after. So happy I did this!!
