Exciting experience! - The kintsugi experience was very interesting and something you rarely get to learn in everyday life. Every time I look at the plate, I think I will remember this experience. The instructor taught us very carefully, which made it a very memorable experience for me. In particular, the step where we searched for the right masking tape was surprisingly fun, and it gave me the greatest sense of satisfaction. I also appreciated that we could choose from many different types of plates. It was enjoyable to learn while having conversations as well. If I had to choose another cultural experience, I would definitely choose this kintsugi workshop again. The price was also very reasonable and worth it. Since I have experienced it once, I feel that I could even explain the process to other students.

The guide for the... - The guide for the activity was good but overall it’s just knife sharpening and hammering in the handle. Only took 35 minutes and had to pay extra for the engraving - 2000 yen each. Would probably just buy a knife next time as this was quite an expensive activity.

Not really a workshop - Firstly, our instructor Aru was great. However to call this a knife making class is very overstated. The only activities you do are sharpening the blade and attaching a handle, all of which took about 30 minutes rather than the stated 90 minutes. Quite disappointing for an expensive activity although time will tell if the knife is good.
