The secrets of soy sauce - The secrets of soy sauce told DA a team of professional and very kind people. An experience highly recommended to all food lovers: visit a small soy brewery that boasts a centuries-old tradition. You make your own bottle of soy and taste some very interesting varieties. Getting to this village is easier than it looks and the team that organizes the experience provides all the details precisely. Also highly recommended is a visit to the streets of the village, preserved excellently.

Such an Awesome Tour with a great take home Gift! - Exciting to see how soy sauce is made in the traditional way. Loved nerding out while getting the history and usage of different soy sauces. Got to make my own sauces and bought some of the others they had made. Cannot recommend enough!

A very unique and interesting excursion - learned about the process and got to press our own batch to take home. - We got to learn about the history of soy sauce, the different types of sauce, the process of making it and we got to press our own fresh batch to take home. A short tour in the historic town which is in the process of applying to be a national heritage site - and a delicious snack of local treats finished the tour -

Fun learning experience plus a personalized bottle to take home - This experience was one of our favorites of the trip. I had no idea the process of how to make soy sauce. It gave us a real appreciation of this important cultural Japan pastime. The bonus is you get a souvenir to bring home of the soy sauce you pressed! Win win

In-depth tour and soy sauce making experience - Nice tour with two very kind hosts. English is very good as well. We saw the soy sauce factory and pressed our own soy sauce, and got to take it home with a label we could make ourselves to make it more unique. When finished with the tour we tried dango, a local delicacy with soy sauce from the factory. Very good experience and would definitely recommend!

Must see Asuka-Nara away from mass tourism - Super experience very friendly and familiar. The place is a little remote but worth every visit! Definitely worth it for a day trip.It has a lot of temples and sights in the village that have almost no tourists. The Guied was great and told me a lot about the story, I also learned a lot about the soy sauces. I was allowed to take my self-pressed soy sauces with me and was then fed in their super nice souvenir stand/cafe.(included)

Go for it! You'll have a fantastic time. - Extremely gracious hosts who were accommodating to us, even with our confused tourist ways. The soy sauce experience was detailed, and delicious. As was the Dango! Thank you so much

Fun class in historic town! - We went as a family and had a lot of fun! A lot of the other activities that we did were in very crowded touristy places. This town was beautiful and the class was interesting. I’d recommend this activity :)
