• Yumoto Goichi Memorial Nihon Yokai Museum (Miyoshi Mononoke Museum) - Japan’s inaugural Yokai museum has opened in Miyoshi City, Hiroshima Prefecture.
  The museum showcases the Ino Mononoke Roku, a Yokai story from the Edo period set in Miyoshi, along with a meticulously curated collection of approximately 5,000 Yokai-related artifacts. These include picture scrolls, Nishiki-e woodblock prints, ceramics, and more, all generously donated by folklorist and Yokai researcher Koichi Yumoto. This collection is esteemed as one of Japan’s largest Yokai collections. The museum can host up to 100 visitors at a time. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The museum offers a delightful experience for both adults and children, featuring the Yokai Park designed by TeamLab. Engaging with people and Yokai in a virtual environment encourages creativity and logical thinking. Special exhibitions are held regularly, offering an expanded selection of artworks.
