- Miyajidake Shrine - Miyajidake Shrine is guarded by one of Japan’s largest Shimenawa, or sacred ropes. In spring, the expansive grounds are adorned with fields of iris blossoms and other flowers. It is also renowned for the “Shining Path,” where the sunset aligns with the shrine’s gates and steps, casting a golden glow over the grounds. The best times to witness this phenomenon are from late February to early March and mid to late October.
