Petra - Stop At: Petra - Wadi Musa/ Jordan
Begin your journey from Q.A.I. Airport or Amman heading south to Petra, Jordan’s most famous attraction and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Known as the Rose-Red City, Petra was the magnificent capital of the Nabataean kingdom. Its ruins were largely unknown to the world until Swiss explorer JL Burckhardt, disguised as an Arab scholar, entered the city in 1812. Recognized as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, visitors can walk through the Siq, a long, winding sandstone canyon leading to the stunning Treasury. Explore the city further, including the Street of Facades, the Roman Theater, and the Royal Tombs. After the visit, depart Petra and head towards Wadi Rum.
Wadi Rum Protected Area - Recently designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Wadi Rum is renowned for its unique natural beauty and cultural importance. Inhabited since prehistoric times, it gained fame from Lawrence of Arabia, who spent time there during the Arab Revolt of 1916 against the Ottomans. As Jordan’s largest desert, it offers one of the most breathtaking desert landscapes globally. From its terrain, flora, and fauna to the local Bedouin culture, there is much to experience in Rum, whether on a jeep tour, camel trek, hike, or hot-air balloon ride. Arrive at your camp in the heart of the desert for dinner and an overnight stay.
Wadi Rum - Dead Sea - Amman
Dead Sea Region - Enjoy breakfast at your camp. Embark on a morning tour of Wadi Rum, covering the highlights for two hours in local off-road vehicles operated by the Bedouins, or opt for a balloon ride (requires prior booking, payable separately). Depart Wadi Rum for a four-hour journey to the Dead Sea.
Stop At: Dead Sea Resort/ Jordan
Part of the Great Rift Valley, the Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth, at 408 meters below sea level. Its high salinity allows visitors to float effortlessly in its warm, oily waters. The mud along the shore is rich in minerals and is believed to offer medicinal and therapeutic benefits. Visit the beach to soak up the sun and enjoy the sea, then transfer back to Amman.
