Very insightful tour! - I had a great tour thanks to my tour guide Oupa! He was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting history of Johannesburg and Soweto in particular. He even offered to take some great pictures. We saw a lot: we stopped at all the important sites but also went through different neighbourhoods which gave me an interesting insight into the contrasts found in Soweto. As a female solo traveler I also felt very safe. I highly recommend this tour!

Soweto for real - I was fortunate to have been alone with Mo so I could ask all my questions about South African history and legacy, townships, and student protests. He gave me an in-depth tour of Soweto, with many insights and comprehensive answers to all my questions. It was really impressive to see the townships and the people living there. I got a much greater understanding of the country.

Amazing half day history lesson! - Highly recommend Collins for a half day lesson in history aka Tour of Soweto. Knowledgeable, courteous and polite, he allows you whatever time you need to look at the sights and enjoy the stops along the way. Clearly experienced, he knows all the spots to take photos and can show you the city as a local. You are totally safe in his company and on the tour. I really enjoyed our chats and would highly recommend this if you are short on time. Don’t miss on the opportunity to see the township and interact with local. It will change your perspective - guaranteed. One tip - let Collins know what stops you’d prefer spending more time on so he can plan accordingly!
