Severin's Ultimate Johannesburg tour October 16 2025 - Carson, my tour guide was awesome 👌 from pick to conducting the tour of Johannesburg and soweto, especially in providing needed information for a first timer like me. I specifically enjoyed the visit of a community in soweto where I met with some kindergarten kids who did not ask to be in that predicament but just a chance to a bright future. The SA government should do more for the people in these communities like providing FREE or at least affordable better housing. Two other visits in soweto, Nelson Mandela house and the Hector Pieterson museums brought me to 😢 especially seeing how many high-school kids were killed in 1976, again just young kids asking for a better education...which is a RIGHT! I also learned that in a VERY small stretch with two homes separated by less than 1km are the homes of TWO Nobel Prices!!!! In ONE country, in one non-priviledged area! SA should be proud 👏 and celebrate 🍾 together, ALL colors, with NO distinction or discrimination! Thanks again, Carson, for a WONDERFUL experience I will never forget!

Great Joburg tour - We had a very nice and complete tour of Joburg on Sept 26 with Khutso. He was very knowledgeable, nice, and kept us on time since there was so much to see. We would definitely recommend him.

Johannesburg Jaunt - Excellent overview of Jo'burg. Constitution Hill contrasted the vicious brutality of oppression with the serenity fairness of the country's highest court. That was a forerunner for the rest of this day of differences where we were guided by the brilliant Marc, from Moafrika. We did the Rugby and Football stadiums, the City Centre, Soweto where we were guided by my wife's namesake, Wendy. The Hector Pietersen and the Apartheid Museums are there to remind you how far this beautiful country has come and how much its wonderful people have been through. This is a country that hasn't destroyed its history to appease a few voices. SA embraces all of it, leaving you with a clear picture of its tumultuous recent history. Thank you Marc, it was a wonderful your.

Highlight of my trip in South Africa - I had an absolutely incredible day touring Johannesburg and Soweto with my guide, Lebo. It ended up being just the two of us that day, and I’m honestly so glad it worked out that way because I felt like I really connected with him. Lebo is not only knowledgeable and passionate, but also down-to-earth, authentic, and patient. I’ve always had a deep interest in the history of apartheid and racism in South Africa, and coming from a Caribbean background, I was able to have some really meaningful conversations with him about the similarities in our cultures. He was open, informative, and answered all of my many questions with care. The day itself was seamless he was on time, the transportation was great, and he even gave me extra time to see the local vendors. We shared an authentic South African meal, laughed over the familiar ties between South African and Jamaican culture, and I left feeling enriched, inspired, and grateful for the experience. I’d recommend Lebo without hesitation to anyone wanting to experience Johannesburg and Soweto in a real and impactful way. It was a fantastic trip from start to finish, and I truly hope our paths cross again someday.

Worth to do this if this is your first visit to Johannesburg. - Cover lots of history and places. Guide Tshepo is very familiar with the history and he is passionate in sharing the details with us. Get a good sense of what happened in the past and learn a great deal of the iconic places here. Guide is also a good photographer.
