Ponte Tour with Kea - I have been wanting to do this for ages. We had an excellent tour of Ponte Tower and could not have asked for a better guide. Kea was outstanding. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and respectful of the building’s complex history. She explained both the darker periods and the incredible transformation in a clear and thoughtful way, which made the experience even more meaningful. The tour felt well paced, informative, and genuinely memorable. Highly recommended, especially with Kea as your guide.

If you were ever curious to learn more about this Jozi landmark and/or its surroundings, don’t hesitate to book (& thank me later 😉) also – yes, taking the tour as well as getting to the location by car are fully safe!

On top of Joburg - The landmark building of Joburg with a fascinating history. Outstanding views over the city. Venturing into the bowels of this tower felt like another world. A magnificent brutalist building.

Crazy views and a dive into South African history - As my mother was visiting us in Joburg, we thought Ponte Tower was a great way to show her the CBD face of the city… and it was such a good choice!! Kia, our guide was so knowledgeable and kind, not only she showed us all views of this crazy tower but she explained us the complex history of the building and of the whole districts around. The visit was very interesting as well as breathtaking! Thanks Kia :)

Lasting and powerful impressions - Ponte Tower feels like the epicentre of a dystopian future. The uncompromising brutality architecture set in a stressed neighbourhood sets an expectation of danger and poverty. In fact, the complex is very secure and home to an aspirant community of families. The tour takes you almost to the top of the building, and deep into the core where you stand on the bedrock. Kea, my guide, was informed, charming, and interesting to talk to. The views external and internal are unforgettable. Most of all, I was left with a clear impression of the communal strength of the Tower, and the excellent work being done by Dlala Nje.

Something you need to experience in your lifetime. - It was a great experience our tour guide was Kea and she was amazing, She explained thoroughly about the history of ponte and Johannesburg. She was open to answer a ton of questions. Over all ponte is pretty safe in terms of structure if you want to look for a great party venue and a amazing view over Johannesburg this is for you. Hopefully you'll get Kea as a tour guide if you take a tour. If youre afraid of elevators like me it will be alright.👀

Sundowners on the 51st floor of Ponte City - Such a cool Joburg experience! Sundowners at Dlala Nje on the 51st floor of Ponte City have unreal views over the whole city. Great music, drinks and snacks, and it was really interesting learning about the history of the building too. It feels very local and cultural. Kia was an absolute gem — so friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend
