Johannesburg - Pilanesberg National Park

Johannesburg - Guests are collected early in Johannesburg and transported to Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Arrive at the bush lodge by 9:00 am and enjoy a 3-hour exploration of the game reserve in a closed vehicle.

Pilanesberg National Park - Upon reaching Pilanesberg, guests receive a brief introduction about the park and the day’s itinerary. A field guide will pick you up from the Visitors Centre in a 4X4 open Safari vehicle for a 3-hour guided game drive. Experience the rich wildlife from an open vehicle on a remarkable guided tour of Pilanesberg National Park, where your field guide will provide insights about the park, the wildlife, and their natural behaviors. This park is home to the Big 5 and other South African mammals.

After the game drive, you will be returned to the Visitors Centre, where our Guide will collect you for a short drive to KwaMaritane Bush Lodge and assist with check-in.

Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge - Enjoy some relaxation at the lodge before departing for a late-afternoon Open Vehicle Guided game drive in the reserve. The Lodge’s game drives are conducted in an open safari vehicle with a professional and knowledgeable ranger. Return to the lodge at sunset and savor a starlit dinner around the firepit on warm evenings. Overnight at this stunning Lodge offering Luxury, Standard, and Executive suites. Accommodation ranges from standard/deluxe rooms to family rooms and exclusive private suites. Each ensuite luxury room is tastefully decorated and fully equipped for comfort and convenience. The spacious rooms open onto a private balcony with a panoramic view of the reserve.

KwaMaritane Bush Lodge

Pilanesberg National Park - Rise early for hot beverages, then depart for a 3-hour morning Guided game drive in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Keep an eye out for lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo, among others. Other animals you may encounter include zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, jackals, wild dogs, antelope, as well as some of the over 300 bird species found in the park. The view of the park is truly magnificent. Enjoy the abundance of the African bushveld on this game drive. Game drives are led by knowledgeable Rangers who will share information about the wildlife found in the park.

Return for a hearty breakfast; pack up and be ready for collection around 11:00 am for the return drive to Johannesburg.

Johannesburg - After this wonderful and captivating experience, the guide will pick you up at the Lodge around 11:00 am for a 2-hour and 30-minute drive back to Johannesburg. You will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
