Gold Reef City is situated to the south of Johannesburg. This location, once a gold mine, has been transformed to reflect the gold rush era and its rich history. Gold Reef City combines a theme park with a living museum showcasing Victorian architecture and the story of gold.

The theme park offers popular thrill rides such as the Anaconda inverted roller coaster, Golden Loop shuttle roller coaster, Jozi Express roller coaster (which takes riders through treetops and mine dumps, offering a stunning view of Johannesburg CBD for those daring enough to keep their eyes open), Miner’s Revenge, Raging River Rapids, Runaway Train, Storm Chaser, High Flying Maverick, and Tower of Terror.
