Dunhuang Airport - Today, the guide will meet the operator at the Dunhuang hotel, airport, or train station and then transfer to Crescent Lake, which is a 40-minute drive, covering 20KM.

Crescent Moon Pool - The enchanting Crescent Lake gets its name from its crescent moon shape, formed by a small pool of spring water nestled between two large sand dunes. Visitors can slide down the Sounding Sand Dunes to see if they can hear the unique sounds produced by the dunes. Known globally as “the first spring in the desert,” the formation of this geological wonder remains a mystery. Visiting Crescent Lake, which has been nestled in the vast desert for thousands of years with its clear, sweet water, is a remarkable experience.

Mingsha Shan - Echoing-Sand Mountain - Next, visit the Singing Sand Mountains (Mingsha Mountain) where sand surfing and camel riding are available (at personal expense). Mingsha Mountain stretches from the Mogao Caves in the east, extending 40 kilometers from east to west, and 20 kilometers from south to north.

Shazhou Nightly Market - After checking into the hotel and taking a short break, visitors can explore the Shazhou Night Market and enjoy dinner there.

The Dunhuang Shazhou Night Market is the largest night market in the city, offering a wonderful opportunity for an evening stroll and souvenir shopping.

The Night Market represents Dunhuang nightlife and is considered a “nightlife landscape.” It is highly popular among tourists worldwide for its unique local specialties and rich local culture.

Dunhuang - Finally, the guide will escort the operator back to the hotel.

Dunhuang - The guide will pick up the operator at the hotel lobby around 09:00 in the morning and escort them to the famous Mogao Grottoes, a 30-minute ride away.

Mogao Caves - The Mogao Grottoes, constructed over a millennium from the 4th to 14th centuries, are also known as the Thousand Buddha Caves. They are renowned as one of China’s most significant grottoes and the best-preserved treasure house of Buddhist art, sutras, murals, and sculptures globally.

Dunhuang Museum - In the afternoon, the operator will visit the Dunhuang City Museum, which displays relics excavated from the local area, including paper and coins. The museum also features an excellent reconstruction of the Great Wall during the Han Dynasty.

Dunhuang - At the end, the guide will escort the operator back to the hotel.

Dunhuang - Guazhou - Jiayuguan. O/N Jiayuguan.

Dunhuang - The guide will pick up the operator at the hotel lobby around 09:00 in the morning and escort them to the renowned Yulin Grottoes, a 120-minute ride covering 165km.

Yulin Grotto - The Yulin Grottoes, featuring 272 colored clay sculptures and 5,650 square meters of murals, are famous as twin grottoes with the Mogao Grottoes due to their similar art style and date. Forty-three grottoes are scattered on the east and west cliffs, with six open to visitors. The Yulin River Valley offers a stunning view.

Jiayuguan - After lunch in Guazhou, the operator will drive to Jiayuguan, where the guide will assist with hotel check-in.

Jiayuguan - The guide will pick up the operator at the hotel lobby around 09:00 in the morning and escort them to the famous Jiayuguan Pass (Jiayuguan Fort), a 15-minute ride away.

Jiayuguan Fortress - Today, the operator will explore exciting sites around Jiayuguan, starting with Jiayuguan Pass (Jiayuguan Fort), also known as the “Impregnable Pass under Heaven.” Jiayuguan is the western end of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty and the most magnificent and well-preserved pass among over a thousand passes along the Ming Great Wall.

Great Wall Museum of Jiayuguan - The Jiayuguan Great Wall Museum, located at the east gate of the scenic area, resembles a giant white beacon tower. Here, visitors can learn about the architectural history of this vast defense line and view old weapons and paintings of the Great Wall.

Great Wall at Jiayuguan Pass - Then, head to the Overhanging Cliff Great Wall, situated 11 km from the city and 7 km from Jiayuguan Pass. The Suspended Wall is part of the Great Wall built on a ridge with a 45-degree gradient.

Wei-Jin Tombs - After lunch, the operator will visit the Weijin Tomb Murals, located on the vast desert expanse, 20 km northeast of Jiayuguan City. There are 1,400 brick tombs from the Jin and Wei Dynasties scattered here, known as the famous JinWei Tombs, reputed as the “world’s largest underground art gallery.” The ancient tombs extend east and west to Guoyuan Township of Jiuquan City and northwest to Xincheng Township. The tombs on the desert resemble waves in the sea.

Jiayuguan - At the end, the guide will escort the operator back to the hotel.
