Triglav - The journey begins with a pickup at the designated meeting point, followed by a drive to Krma Valley where the hike commences. The initial part of the hike is a gentle walk through the forest, progressing through several meadows. At the shepherd’s hut, hikers often encounter cows and take a moment to enjoy the scenery and a snack from their backpacks. Continuing onward, the trail ascends above the forest line onto solid limestone, offering increasingly spectacular views. Upon reaching the Triglav Lodge at Kredarica at 2515m, hikers can admire Mount Triglav at 2864m, the highest peak in Slovenia. A lunch break is taken here, with a selection of delicious traditional mountain hut meals available, including hearty soups like barley soup, cabbage soup, goulash, as well as pasta and vegetarian options.
Day 2: Triglavski Dom 2515m – Summit 2864m! – Krma Valley 980m: 7-10 Hours
Triglav National Park - If the summit ascent is not possible on the first day, it is typically attempted in the morning of the second day. The guide equips hikers with harnesses, helmets, and the via Ferrata system. The climb to the summit offers breathtaking views of the Julian Alps, Triglav, and Triglav National Park, with the opportunity to take a photo at the Aljaž Tower, a symbol of Slovenia. The day concludes with a safe return to the lodge and back to Krma Valley.
