• Seongsan Ilchulbong - The UNESCO World Heritage Site, Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone, stands 180 meters above sea level, formed by an underwater magma eruption over 5,000 years ago. Initially a separate island, it is now connected to the main island by accumulated sand and soil. At the top, a large crater, approximately 600 meters in diameter and 90 meters deep, was created by the interaction of hot lava and cold ocean water. Once used for agriculture, the crater is now a field of silver grass and has been featured in films. From the summit, visitors can enjoy views of Udo Island and a spectacular sunrise. The tuff cone area was designated a natural reserve on July 19, 2000.
