Haenyeo Museum - (Departing from Jeju Cruise Terminal)
Jeju haenyeo are the resilient mothers of Jeju and serve as the spiritual backbone for its residents. The lifestyle of the Jeju haenyeo community is an exemplary model for humanity. They established a merit-based community and made democratic decisions through discussions. They cared for the elderly and infirm, such as Halmang Badang and Geseok, and used their earnings to support societal needs like villages and schools. They also devised various methods to coexist with the sea, including beach cleaning, gold gathering, and dialysis. The culture of Jeju haenyeo was acknowledged for its significance and was inscribed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on November 30, 2016 (local time). -
Seopjikoji - (Departing from Jeju Cruise Terminal) and (Departing from Seogwipo City Gangjeong Cruise Terminal)
A brief drive from Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak leads to Cape Seopjikoji. The name derives from the Jeju dialect for a “Cape of Small Land” due to its unique cliff formation extending into the ocean. The stunning blend of the hill and ocean draws tourists year-round. Visitors might even spot Jeju ponies grazing on the grassy fields. Walking northeast along the cliff, one arrives at Bulgeunoreum Parasitic Cone, offering a breathtaking view of a white lighthouse against the dark blue sea. Additional notable attractions at Cape Seopjikoji include the Glasshouse and Yumin Art Gallery, two masterpieces by world-renowned architect Ando Tadao. These buildings harmonize beautifully with the surrounding nature. - Seongsan Ilchulbong - (Departing from Jeju Cruise Terminal) and (Departing from Seogwipo City Gangjeong Cruise Terminal)
Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone, a prominent attraction of Jeju, was formed approximately 5,000 years ago from a volcanic eruption on the ocean floor. It is particularly renowned as a sunrise viewing spot, considered one of the top ten scenic wonders of Jeju Island. Besides sunrise viewing, Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone is also a fantastic trekking destination. The Seongsan-Ojo Trail connects two villages by crossing the peak. Another popular trail, the Jijil Trail, provides a closer look at the UNESCO-designated geopark and Jeju’s local culture. Walking along these paths is recommended to fully experience the area; reaching the summit offers views of both the expansive volcanic crater and the surrounding blue ocean. To complete the visit, head to Seongsanpo Port to observe haenyeo (female divers) in action.

It is also known as ‘General Stone’ and ‘Grandma Rock’, with a story that General Choi Yeong decorated this rock like a general when fighting against the Yuan Dynasty, causing the enemy to self-destruct. For the origin of the name ‘Grandma Rock’, read the legend below. Not only the visible rocks, but also the life of Jeju people waiting for the people of the sea can be seen. These stone pillars are believed to have been formed during a volcanic eruption. A chimney-shaped stone pillar where surrounding rocks are eroded by waves, leaving only strong rocks, is scientifically termed a sea stack. Pine trees naturally grow atop Oedolgae, creating a picturesque scene. Depending on the viewing direction, it presents a different appearance. -
Jeongbang Waterfall - (Departing from Seogwipo City Gangjeong Cruise Terminal)
Jeongbang Falls is one of Jejudo Island’s top three waterfalls, along with Cheonjiyeon Falls and Cheonjeyeon Falls. It is the only waterfall in Korea where water cascades directly into the sea. The fall is 23m high, and the two streams of water descending the black cliff create a thrilling sound and a magnificent view. Additionally, the steep cliffs and ancient pine trees around the fall create a picturesque scene, and this view was selected as one of the Ten Scenic Sights of Yeongju, known as “Jeongbanghapok.” According to legends, a man named Seobul visited the island in search of an elixir plant on the orders of China’s Qin Shu Huangdi long ago. Unable to find the elixir plant, he headed west to return to China and was captivated by the sight of Jeongbang Falls, leading him to inscribe “Seobulgwacha” on the cliff. -
