• Black River Safari - Black River Safari is one of Jamaica’s most renowned wildlife and nature excursions. It’s a guided boat tour along the Black River, the longest navigable river on the island, meandering through lush mangrove wetlands, wildlife habitats, and a vibrant ecosystem teeming with biodiversity. Glide gently through dense mangrove tunnels and wetlands that are part of the Black River Lower Morass, a crucial ecological area recognized for its natural significance. Spot over 100 bird species, including herons, egrets, and migratory birds, along with other river creatures. The safari is particularly famous for sightings of crocodiles in their natural environment, often basking on riverbanks or gliding through the water. Stop at a crocodile nursery where you can learn about conservation and see younger crocodiles up close. The captain provides commentary about the river’s ecology, history, and the importance of wetland conservation, making it both educational and scenic, with opportunities for photographs and close encounters with wildlife.
• Floyd’s Pelican Bar - Floyd’s Pelican Bar is a legendary small wooden bar perched on stilts in the middle of the sea off the south coast of Jamaica, near Parottee Bay in St. Elizabeth. It’s about a 20-minute boat ride from shore, which is part of the adventure.

The bar is incredibly rustic—constructed from driftwood, old pallets, and scrap materials—and feels like something straight out of a castaway dream. No roads, no Wi-Fi, no rush. Just turquoise water, pelicans gliding overhead, reggae vibes, and ice-cold Red Stripe beers.

Floyd (the original owner) named it after the pelicans that used to gather on the sandbar. You can swim right around the bar, snorkel nearby, or carve your name into the wood like thousands of visitors before you. The food is simple and fresh—usually grilled lobster, fish, shrimp, and festival—caught the same day.
