• Saint Ann Parish - Nine Mile is a community in Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica, situated a few miles south of Brown’s Town. The population was approximately 300 in 2009. On February 6, 1945, the renowned reggae musician and peace advocate Bob Marley was born here and was later laid to rest in the same location. Bob Marley’s home is in the village, along with his Mausoleum, where both he and his mother, Cedella Booker, are interred. Bob Marley’s final resting place is a significant attraction. Visitors can see the modest house where the singer spent his early years and his simple marble tomb, which is truly touching.
