This tour is aptly named “Golden Jakarta.”
Firstly, the National Monument (MONAS) stands as a memorial symbol, reaching a height of 433 feet in the center of a city garden square. MONAS was constructed in 1961 during the Soekarno era amidst numerous political challenges and was opened to the public in 1975. The monument’s design is inspired by the infinite universal concept of “Lingga and Yoni,” and it is constructed from Italian marble with a 50 kg gold-plated top. Inside, the monument features reliefs depicting Indonesia’s history from its beginnings to modern politics.
The second part of the tour involves visiting the Miniature Park, which continues the cultural and historical narrative. Miniature Park is a cultural hub for recreation and education located in East Jakarta. Spanning 100 hectares, it showcases various pavilions and museums.
- The guide will take you to a Batik shop and an antique flea market.
