IMPORTANT GREEN SEASON UPDATE
During the green season, our sunset tours will operate during daytime hours (11:00 am to 3:30 pm) from May 15 to December 15 to avoid the afternoon rain.
Join us for a truly unique and exclusive Sunset Tour to Playa Fantasia. Our sunset tour departs at 1:30 pm from Playa Herradura, cruising for 40 minutes up the Gulf of Nicoya to a secluded beach.
Playa Fantasia is a beach accessible only by water, featuring expansive jungle, reef formations, white sand, and turquoise waters. It remains untouched and is teeming with marine and wildlife, including monkeys, scarlet macaws, turtles, and our rescued animals.
At Playa Fantasia, guests can enjoy boogie boards, paddleboards, surfboards, hammocks, and beach loungers.
- Our cruise is not a booze cruise, if you are looking for a booze cruise, you will be disappointed
- Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required
- Not recommended for participants with back problems or participants with limited mobility
- There is plenty of shaded areas on board, please prepare to spend majority of your tour in direct or indirect sunlight. For safety reasons spray sunscreens are not permitted.
- We board the large catamaran from small tenders from the beach. Long dresses, and pants are not recommended.
- You will be notified by a representative of your pickup time, our transportation will only wait 5 minutes at each stop before moving to the next stop. If you miss your transportation time, your tour will be cancelled without refund.
- ID is needed to use paddle boards, boogie boards, surf boards and snorkel gear.
- Banana Boat rides are available for purchase. Please contact us to reserve and purchase tickets.
- VERY IMPORTANT NOTE GREEN SEASON MAY - NOVEMBER *WE DO NOT RUN A SUNSET TOUR. Our sunset tour during these months operates from 11am - 3:30 pm to avoid rain, and rough waters in the evening during these months. During these months there is rarely a SUNSET and safety is our priority - always! Please note when booking these months we will contact you to arrange pickup, which is will be between 9:45 - 10:30 am during GREEN SEASON.
- The transportation depart from our office in 40 minutes before the to Herradura Beach were the Catamaran departs

You must visit this private beach!! - This was the most fun tour we had!
We went looking for a boat/island tour. We were looking for Tortuga Island but it was sold out.
They sent a van to pick us up from our Airbnb condo building in Jaco which was on the strip. The van picked up another couple.
The van dropped us off at the tour agency building, and we met Tio, the luckiest one-eyed stray dog I’ve ever met. Another couple joined us.
They took us to a beach area where us 3 couples and Tio got on a fishing boat to go the catamaran. One more couple was late and they luckily got onto another fishing boat that caught them up with us.
The party started on the catamaran after a safety briefing by Dr. Yohanas. They offered us cocktails, beer, etc, as well as fresh fruit.
We spotted some Orcas and they cruised close so we could take photos.
Then they took us to Playa Fantasia!! It was an amazing private beach where no one else was there except the crew and travellers. The washroom actually has a toilet which is crazy.
There was a banana boat that they took us on, plus fresh bbq meal, and all you can drink drinks.
Another couple talked about the Tortuga Island and said this trip was better because it was overrun with people, and felt like more of a cruise. We were so glad we went with these guys!!
I feel like this tour is really flying under the radar, awesome crew and awesome tour!! Nothing unexpected as long as you follow the pick up instructions!!

Best tour ever. - Our favorites: The beautiful ocean, the excellent food, the white sand beach, the dolphins we saw, and most of all the crew! Johannes is my man, son! Our bartender Yogi bear was great, Largo, Colita, and Empanada were so friendly and attentive.
This was the best tour I have ever done in my life in any country - and I’ve been all over the world. 10 out of 5 stars! Highly recommend!

AWESOME!! WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. So much fun with family. - Due to time of year, we left from the boat at 11:00 am / loading at 10:45 and went to Playa Fantasia until 3:00 or 3:30. The trip was amazing! The captain and crew were awesome and helped with every need even with the small grandchildren getting them on/off and moving around boat. The lunch on the island was fabulous and drinks were very tasty :). Great value for the money. Highly recommend. There were 9 of us in total - 6 adults, 10 yr old, 3 1/2 + 1 1/2-year-old. All had a wonderful time. Thank you Sealounge and staff.

Best tour we had in Costa Rica! - Communication prior to our excursion was excellent. Their office was nice and clean and easy to find in Jaco. Everything ran smoothly. I didn't have to worry about anything except to sit back and enjoy. The crew were professional and attentive, everything from making sure we had a pillow on the boat, to drinks and snacks. The crew were very friendly. Playa Fantasia was beautiful. It was just our group, no crowds! The crew set up beach loungers, provided us with delicious drinks, lunch, paddle boards, surfboards, boogie boards, etc. I highly recommend Sealounge Catamaran. Five stars!

This is the best catamaran tour in Jaco! - This is the best catamaran tour in Jaco. It’s not an exhausting full day that makes you wake up to an alarm clock while on vacation. The catamaran ride is about 40-45 minutes and you arrive at a private beach (Playa Fantasia) with only the people you were with on the boat. The food is awesome! The return at sunset is spectacular! It’s all inclusive, so you don’t have to purchase beverages on the island! Captain Randall is very safety conscious and ensures everyone has a great experience!

Relaxing and Super Fun Afternoon! - We did this on our last day in Costa Rica, and it was a perfect end to the trip. Taking the small boat out to the catamaran was a little scary (plan to get wet!), but the actual catamaran ride was smooth and fun! Drinks were abundant, and the crew was fun and helpful. Once on the beach, there were plenty of chairs, several hammocks, boogie boards, and everything needed for a fun and relaxing afternoon. The food was fantastic, from the chip and dip appetizers to the main course of kebabs, potatoes, and salad. I would do this again and again!

Great crew! - The crew was attentive and informative! The day didn’t work out as planned as the waves/current cut out trip short. We appreciated the attention to safety. Hope next time we go to Costa Rica we can get a do-over!

No show, no communication after initial outreach. - Left us waiting for pickup and never showed up . Never responded back via WhatsApp after their initial outreach back and forth with pickup time and additional trips they offer. We did not take them up on any additional offerings- thank goodness we did not. Be beyond cautious if you are considering. We found a different operation in Jaco that had been amazing with service, responsiveness and adventure.
