Great experience on the beach - My 13yo won’t stop saying this was the best day of her life, and it was only noon. We had a great time riding on the beach, through the river deep enough our shoes and pants were wet, and into the jungle. My kids asked if they could canter and off we went. We looked for animals, but apparently they were hiding.
This isn’t the tail to nose trail ride you’re used to in the USA; it was way better. And they’ll give you the instruction you need, but you have to be willing to control the horse.

Sloths and Monkeys! - This was such a fun experience, our guide Joel was so sweet and helpful. We got to see some sloths and monkeys along the way. Our beginner rider was well taken care of as well.

Great adventure!... - Great adventure! Scheduled for the same day because my daughters wanted to go. The tide was too high to cross the river, so we went a different route on the beach and through other areas. Our guide was awesome and showed us a lot of stuff on the way. Amazing experience!

A MUST DO in Jaco! Great tour, AMAZING guide! - If you’re someone looking for an epic riding adventure to spice up that simple weekend getaway or hectic family vacation with the kids then I highly recommend hitching a ride with Jaco Horse Riding Tours.
You’ll traverse beautiful beach front vistas, race under crying canopies teeming with life within the rainforest, and ford dangerous boulder strewn rivers, all from the comfortable safety of your saddle.
The horses provided are beginner friendly and extremely easy to ride, while the guide is thoughtful, intuitive and always standing ready nearby to assist when needed.
I myself had never ridden a stallion before and so initially I was skeptical. But after a quick crash course in equestrian habits I found myself riding like a pro (sort-of)! :)
All in all I have to say the experience was truly 10/10 and for the price it’s definitely a huge bargain! This is certainly one of the best highlights from our week long trip!

Excellent choice for a beach/rainforest riding adventure! - A traveling companion and I booked this trip and the host, Manny, was responsive and accommodating. We chose the hotel pickup and he met us at our hotel on the beach with the horses. It was so much better than typical group rides. There were just the three of us and he gave us a little history on the horses before we started. Mine was a beautiful rescue and I could tell he was not trained in “nose-to-tail” so I was able to hold back a bit and cantor to catch up a couple times. He was very responsive and well behaved. We rode on the beach and into the rainforest were Manny pointed out sloths and white faced monkeys in the trees. We got to cross a tidal river going out and back, which was very fun. I came home all smiles! Thank you, Manny

Amazing views, great guide, beautiful horses - This has to be the best horse riding in Jaco hands down. We went somewhere else and it was super lame, overcrowded, and the views were mediocre. This ride starts along the beach, goes into the jungle, through a river, and back to the beach. It was the perfect adventure and he meets your skill level. My daughter was thrilled she got to gallop on the beach! I highly recommend this tour!

Amazing horseback tour with Manny and hoses : Starfall, Pinto de Gallo & Casper - Manny De Verona was a wonderful guide and highly recommend him. Very attentive, informative about local info. Very cordial and engaging conversation. Horses were very well behaved : Pinto de Gallo and Casper. Saw white face monkeys, also saw 2 fast flying scarlet macaws ! Thank you again for a wonderful experience, Manny !

Amazing manny - Went on trip with manny and he was completely amazing, showed us many different things, animals we seen sloths , monkeys, different tree, plants, flowers over all he was very friendly and knowledgeable, wasn’t just for the money he showed passion

Poor tour - They gave the option to insert a pick up location. I added my hotel in that section. they created their own pick up location after I reserved with my own information. We’re not from here to be easily navigating around and finding them. You gave the option to add my hotel and chose not to meet me there until AFTER I sent my screenshot showing I entered my hotel. Had their hotel been listed and there was no hotel pickup or option to meet at my hotel, I would’ve asked around ahead of time to figure it all out. That step wasn’t made because I had my hotel in and thought a rep for the tour would meet me in the lobby of mine. Then after poor communication and planning on their part, several annoying calls and messages were made to get me to respond. The lack of reading and creation of your own pick up location didn’t make for a good ride at that point.
