Revving Up for Adventure

As a professional surfer, I’ve spent countless hours chasing waves and exploring the coastal gems of Central America. But every now and then, I crave a different kind of thrill—one that takes me off the beaten path and into the heart of the jungle. That’s exactly what I found in Jaco, Costa Rica, where I embarked on a three-hour ATV tour that promised adventure and a taste of the wild.

The day started with a bit of a hiccup. My wife and I were supposed to be picked up at our resort, but after waiting for a while, we realized something was amiss. A quick walk to the tour office revealed that we had been forgotten. Not the best start, but as seasoned travelers, we took it in stride.
