The adventure starts with kayaking across Grabovica Lake, a serene, emerald-green mountain lake created by the Neretva River. This paddle takes approximately 20 minutes, with the majestic Mount Prenj looming larger as you approach.

Upon reaching the opposite shore, the guide will equip you with a harness, helmet, and Via Ferrata lanyard system, followed by a practical safety briefing. This includes instructions on clipping and unclipping at each anchor point, body positioning, and what to anticipate. Prior experience is recommended.

The ascent involves following steel cables, iron rungs, and ladders secured into the cliff face of Prenjska Vrata, known as “The Gate of Prenj.” You can climb at your own pace, always secured, with the guide accompanying you. As you ascend, breathtaking views unfold: Grabovičko Lake below, the Neretva Canyon slicing through the valley, and the surrounding peaks of Mount Prenj and Čvrsnica.
