Aegean Delight - The Driver was very nice, but spoke one word English... not very much. We had booked this tour many months in advance.... and was very confused because we had no "tour guide" only a van driver. He dropped us in Cesme, for a 1 hour walk around the small market coastal town. The driver said "1 hour", "here" for meeting back up. Very enchanting - cool historical castle at the marina. We only had time for slow walk along water, a coffee, pastry, and street vendor open store shopping. Next, we went to Alacati to select a restaurant and get some decent food. There were at least 15 restaurants to choose from, and again without a tour guide to make recommendations, (the driver said "1 hr, and half")... so we found a place to eat - and met back up with driver where he dropped us off. Finally we went to the famous "iLica Public Beach". Wonderful clear water on the Aegean Sea, all sandy bottom, where you can walk waist deep for probably half mile offshore - all sand, no shells, no hazards, completely clear salty water. Like swimming in a salt pool. My daughter loved it. The driver dropped us off and said "swim - 1 hr".... We said, "where do we change" he pointed to a shack and said "change".... Would advise taking an umbrella (sun blocker) because it was bright, sun was strong, and the sand was HOT. It all worked out - loved the scenic drive across the terrain from Izmir, but again, without a guide, we really had no context nor historical reference for the entire day - and that made the ride boring. The drive was approx 1 hour 15 mins from Izmir to the coast, lovely rolling hills, lots of agriculture, and lush vegetation. Would have loved a tour guide (as was expected).... all went well - driver was professional - but seemed like we had rented transport rather than a tour.

Great beach day visiting Cesme and Alacati - Highly recommended if you have a free day in Izmir. I only wish we had spent more time, including lunch, at Alacati instead of Cesme since the former is a quaint town with lots of restaurants. However the driver arrived on time, explained what we would do and gave us enough time to explore on our own. The best part of the tour was ofcourse the beach ( we stopped at the Ilica Halk beach), which can change depending on the season. Our driver Aykut was professional and courteous and the vehicle can easily accommodate upto 6 adults.

Awesome Cesme/Alacati tour with Alpi - We loved this tour! We luckily got assigned Alpi as our tour guide who we toured Ephesus with the day before. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, and made the whole experience very enjoyable and comfortable. The tour included multiple stops according to our preference, and the car ride itself was very comfortable as well. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful views - Amazing experience. A driver picks you up from your hotel. Driver was super friendly and nice. You get to experience each area alone which was nice with recommendations sent via text. You get enough time at each stop. I would recommend this tour. Cesme and Alacati are beautiful places

Amazing experience - We went to Ceshmeh and Alacati. We were picked up at our hotel at the exact time we were told and we met the driver and a wonderful tour guy who definitely made our tour extremely enjoyable. We were amazed how Alperen was knowledgeable about the history of the region and more amazed with his language skills without ever living in an English speaking country. He is a true gentleman and it was blessing to have known him. I fully recommend the tour as the region is beautiful and do not forget to visit the castle. 10 out of 10, in my opinion.

Excellent day trip to Cesme-Alacati from Izmir! - I had a remarkably beautiful day in Cesme-Alacati on this tour. I was able to see all the sites I wanted to, spend time meandering through the area at my own pace, have a delightful sea side lunch, and end the trip with a swim in the Aegean Sea! If you are in Izmir, I highly recommend dedicating a day to this experience! A huge thank you Gezenthi travel, my excellent driver and guide!

Great day trip from Izmir - Lots of time and customizable schedule. Cesme and the beach were awesome. Driver didn’t speak English but he was funny and he tried. You can always message the tour company who will call talk to the driver.

just 1 day in enough - In my opinion, one day is enough to visit Alaçatı.
The old alleys are very charming, filled with beautiful cafés, restaurants, and shops.
The flowers and greenery make the whole place a perfect photography spot.
We spent the afternoon until night there and really enjoyed it.
We had dinner at one of the restaurants—it was overpriced and average, but that’s expected in touristy places.
Overall, it was a good experience and worth visiting at least once.
