The journey continues to the Karacasu district in Aydın after a pleasant 3-hour drive with the guests. Aphrodisias, an ancient city with a history spanning 2,500 years and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2017, was dedicated to the goddess Aphrodite. The city thrived due to the creativity and exceptional craftsmanship of artists who made extensive use of high-quality marble from nearby quarries, as it was home to a renowned sculpture school. Visitors will explore the city’s vibrant landmarks, including the Odeon (council chambers), the monumental gate (tetra pylon), the stadium, the agora, Hadrian’s Roman Baths, and, of course, the temple of Aphrodite. After the tour, guests will be taken to Karasu for a delightful Turkish meal. Following lunch, they will be transferred to Izmir.
