• Sistine Chapel - AVAILABLE ONLY IN THE 8-HOUR TOUR
  Constructed by Sixtus IV, from whom it derives its name, the Sistine Chapel was completed in the late fifteenth century. It showcases the Old and New Testament through the works of renowned painters like Perugino, Girlandaio, Botticelli, culminating in Michelangelo’s masterpiece. Inside the “Cappella Magna,” a place of significant religious and political importance, speaking, photography, and videography are prohibited. Your private guide will allocate time for you to appreciate the exquisite decorations. Following this, you will proceed through the door leading into St. Peter’s Basilica.
• St. Peter’s Square - The world’s most famous baroque square, where during the conclave, the crowd eagerly awaits the first glimpse of the new Pope. Bernini’s colonnade symbolizes Peter’s embrace of the faithful who have come for centuries to pray at his tomb. At its center stands one of the oldest Egyptian obelisks, originally located in the center of Emperor Nero’s circus in ancient Rome. • Palatine Hill - As the centermost of Rome’s Seven Hills, Palatine Hill is one of the city’s oldest areas, often referred to as “the first nucleus of the Roman Empire.” Now primarily an open-air museum, the Palatine Museum houses numerous artifacts from excavations here and other ancient Italian sites. Imperial palaces began to be constructed here starting with Augustus. Before the imperial era, the hill was mainly occupied by the homes of the wealthy. Originally, the hill had two summits separated by a depression; the highest was called Palatium, and the other Germalus. Using the Forma Urbis, its perimeter enclosed 63 acres, while the Regionary Catalogues of the 4th century enclosed 131 acres (53 ha).
• Pantheon - The original Pantheon was built in 25 BC by Marco Agrippa, a prominent Roman general and son-in-law of Emperor Augustus. After 150 years, Emperor Hadrian reconstructed it in the same location, resulting in the structure we admire today. Nearly two millennia later, visitors can still explore this ancient building and its remarkable open dome. Since the early seventh century, the Pantheon has been converted into a church, the Basilica of Santa Maria ad Martyres. • Via del Corso - “Via del Corso” is a prominent street in Rome’s historical center. It stands out in an area otherwise characterized by narrow, winding alleys and small piazzas. Once considered a wide street, the Corso is approximately 10 meters wide, accommodating two lanes of traffic and two narrow sidewalks. The street’s northern section is a pedestrian area, stretching roughly 1.5 kilometers in length.
• Spanish Steps - The Spanish Steps in Rome, Italy, ascend a steep slope between Piazza di Spagna at the base and Piazza Trinità dei Monti, dominated by the Trinità dei Monti church, at the top. • A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements.
• Please provide the full names of all travelers when booking. Failure to present a voucher with all travelers’ full names at the ticket office prior to entry may result in denied entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
• Earphones are mandatory for groups (more than 4 guests) inside the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. The cost of the earphones rental is not included (Eur 5,00 per person)
• The Vatican Museum is always closed on Sunday.
• Only upon request, our office will purchase your Colosseum and Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica (Vatican only 8-hour tour) skip-the-line tickets, if still available. Your tour guide will have your tickets. Tickets to be paid only cash directly to your guide.
• Due to high demand Colosseum and Vatican Museums tickets may all be sold at the time of tour booking. Our office will inform you about the actual availability of tickets for your tour.
• The Vatican Museums private walking tour can only be included in the 8-hour tour.
• Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
• Due to the many problems related to the high number of visitors and the difficulty in purchasing tickets, St. Peter’s Basilica will not be inlcuded. If you wish to enter the Basilica, without your tour guide, you can purchase your tickets yourself by following the instructions below. Your tour guide will n ot enter the Basilica with you. The Vatican has now disclosed the new rules for issuing entrance tickets to St. Peter’s Basilica. To be able to purchase your tickets it is necessary to enter personal data for each individual visitor. The difficulty and request for personal data does not allow us to purchase your tickets for the Basilica. However, we have purchased your tickets for entrances to all the scheduled attractions (Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, Colosseum and Pantheon). We will send you the internet address with which you can purchase tickets for entry to St. Peter’s Basilica at ….. Please purchase your tickets at …as soon as possible and confirmed with our office. They will be sold out in the next few days. WE STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU NOT TO ENTER THE BASILICA
