The Best Way to Visit the Vatican Museums - We booked two tours with NotBoringTours and we were very happy with both! The team is great and the owner is very responsive and helpful. You will get the VIP treatment.
Our guide for the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel tour was Alfredo. He delivered a great experience. Going at the end of the day was perfect - the crowd was moderate, we moved easily through the museum, and we never felt rushed. Alfredo walked us directly into the building and we were through the security checkpoint and on our way within minutes. The museum is stunning. You can turn your head in virtually any direction and find something new to enjoy. Alfredo does an excellent job of directing attention to key exhibits and he provides outstanding context and insights. We were able to spend plenty of time within the Sistine Chapel taking in the art and just relishing the history that has transpired within that room.
I highly recommend NotBoringTours. It was exactly what we hoped for and we’re 100% satisfied.

Best Tour Guide! - Mike was an incredible tour guide for the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel! He made the experience both educational and fun, sharing fascinating stories and pointing out details most visitors would easily miss. His passion for the history and culture of the place was clear, and he had a real gift for connecting the past to the present in a way that was easy to follow and genuinely engaging.
What really set Mike apart was his ability to keep things concise and lively. He struck the perfect balance between depth and pace — we learned a lot without ever feeling overwhelmed or bored. His sense of humor and friendly banter created a relaxed, enjoyable group atmosphere, and he made sure everyone felt included without turning it into a lecture.

Best choice we made!! - Mike was the best!!!
He was so knowledgeable entertaining it was nice that it was a small group. If you can request, Mike definitely do it and the tour group itself was fantastic.

Interesting things I would never have known on my own - Great trip! Our tour guide Mike was very informative and interesting. I don’t consider myself a huge museum fan but he kept me intrigued the entire time with interesting backstories about the church, the Romans and the artifacts that I would never have known if I went in on my own. Very cool stuff!

A great tour! The... - A great tour! The communication / instructions prior to the tour were extremely helpful and the meeting point was easy to find. We chose the 5pm time slot and highly recommend! There was barely any wait for security which meant we didn’t have to stand outside and wait in the heat. Jason was our tour guide and was extremely knowledgeable and passionate. Overall a great tour!

Unforgettable Tour - Mike’s knowledge of the Vatican and history of Rome and the Church made this the most enjoyable tour. He personalized our experience and ensured that we each saw what was important to us and so many extra bonuses. His timing was impeccable and gave us plenty of time to savor the Sistine Chapel at the end of our tour.

Not as advertised - Was suppose to start at 5 pm. Got changed to 5:30 pm. Didn’t arrive to the museum until 6 pm. We were suppose to have 30 min in Sistine Chapel and 2 hrs in museum. We were rushed out as everything was closing. We were in taxi coming back to hotel by 8 pm. Not really what they advertised.
