Awesome and really well guided - Judging by the snaking lines of thousands of tourists who hadn't bought skip the line tickets, we made the right decision. 25 minutes to enter and get through security was tolerable ( others wait hours - and it was blazing hot) Our small group was really well guided by Marianella (?spelling). She continued to excel in taking us through and around the awesome Basilica - decor, features, statues, religious history........ There was plenty of time to ask questions and take pictures too. Whatever your religion, or not, you can't fail to be impressed by the sheer scale and content of the Basilica. It was a shame though that St Peter's Square was covered in chairs and barriers, so it wasn't possible to appreciate it fully at ground level. Not until we climbed to the top of the Dome and Cupola could we marvel at the iconic site from above - then the chairs seemed to melt into the background. The views over the whole of Rome are stunning. The cupola terrace is crowded and anyone who is claustrophobic might not like the trip up the ever-narrowing steps. But really do consider it if you can. Another tip is to at least descend the entire way by the stairs, rather than join the long line of those waiting for the lift which goes between the ground floor and first terrace - the lift only seemed to take 6 at a time. Delighted to have been able to experience this. Warning to avoid much later in the Spring/Summer as the sheer number of visitors on site are reportedly huge++

Great tour! - Marianna was our guide and she was fantastic! She was very knowledgable, and the price is well worth it to skip the main line. Still a short wait but much better than the main line and our tour guide kept us entertained with interesting information during the wait. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Vatican!

Amazing and very complete - Believing or not, St. Peter’s Basilica is iconic and captivating for its size and symbolism, the amount of art and opulence catches you, the papal tombs are a detail that makes you feel close to that story that continues to be written. Visits few tombs, but enough, Benedict XVI, John Paul II, and the most important the tomb of Saint Peter

Well worth the money! - Very good tour by a knowledgeable guide (think her name was Maria). Lengthy wait in queue to get in even with timed entry tickets (not guides fault) but guide filled the time with lots of information. Well worth the money.

Marianna was an amazing... - Marianna was an amazing guide and I was fortunate to have her. St. Peter’s is beautiful and was quite an experience. I didn’t end up walking up to the top of the dome as the stairs were too much for me but spent some peaceful time at the midway point.
