Learn how to make pesto and drink local wines - Very good experience and professional , you eat cheeses from different animals and drink wines from local vineyards and end with a local desert wine. And of course the pesto making is in-depth and something you can take back home.

A great experience! - We wanted to schedule a cooking class, and chose this one because of learning about makingpesto. A delightful couple hosted and taught the class. We loved it! Great wine/cheese tasting, and we all made pesto with gnocchi. We learned alot, had fun, and enjoyed the wine, as well. Highly recommend.

Yummy Start to our Cinque Terre experience - This was a perfect start to our Cinque Terre experience. My wife and I were the only two in the class. Carol, who owns the store and teaches the class, was so fun and personable. We used only ingredients grown in the area. So fresh and yummy. Carol gave us 3 wines to try and even opened up a craft beer to try. The location is quaint and homie. We recommend this activity for anyone who likes to learn about the local cuisine.

Cooking class - My wife and I enjoyed this experience. We were made to feel comfortable from the beginning. Easy to follow instructions from the owners and good wine and snacks. Both our attempts at pesto turned out great. Thank you.

Fun experience for all, esp me as a solo. - The class is run by a lovely couple who own a wine tasting shop and cafe on a main piazza in Vernazza. Class size is small and intimate, so it was easy to meet and chat with others at the table. Since I was traveling solo, it was nice to be in good company. We sampled some white wines and snacks while we made the pesto. Some work with the mortar and pestle, but very pleasant. Then we all mixed in gnocchi for a light lunch using our freshly made pesto. Yummy!

Delicious pesto; teaching technique needs improvement - Positives: The pesto we made was fantastically delicious. We were late due to our own mistake - we got on the wrong train; they were kindly flexible given our mistake, which we appreciated. The proprietor was very interested in wines and seemed to have a fair knowledge. Negatives: It was a little odd that he didn’t introduce himself or ask our names given that this was a private class for just 4. Also, he gave verbal directions but usually didn’t illustrate techniques with his hands which was confusing. His teaching technique needs refining.

Although I make Pesto at... - Although I make Pesto at home, I learned some new techniques in this class. We would have liked a printed list of the wines. All together a fun experience and enjoyed talking with those around us.
