Feel like a Roman artisan! Create your own mosaic! - We loved Nadia’s mosaic making class. We spent a cozy winter afternoon in her charming studio, sipping wine and learning the art of mosaic making. We came away with a whole new appreciation for the craft. Nadia was a patient, kind, humorous teacher. The framed mosaics we created will be treasured souvenirs of our time in Rome.

Mosaic in Rome! - I have no artistic talent. I showed our artist a stick person and said this is all I can do. She said NO! I was 100% guided to creating a beautiful mosaic. It was a magical experience!! I would highly recommend!

Fun and engaging workshop in Rome. - This mosaic workshop was so interesting! The instructor did not speak much English, yet she still did an excellent job communicating and teaching us the techniques. It was a nice way to get away from the busy city for a few hours. The mosaics turned out beautifully and it was a nice souvenir to bring home.

Awesome alternate to museums - An awesome activity that ties back to all of the beautiful mosaics around Rome! We took our class to supplement our many days of museums and it was a great choice. Our instructor was kind and patient as we got the hang of this difficult craft. There are definitely some tiles that are easier to work with than others, as well as easier designs. We got to walk away with an awesome souvenir from our trip.

Lots of (quiet) fun - Shown the basics of (Roman) mosaic, could choose a basic design to work from (I did think we might be able to do our own before arrival, but makes sense to keep it to some set layouts!). Good instructions on how to do it all, help along the way to make sure it looks as good as it could. Help setting and completing the mosaics once stones in place. Lots of fun with a great end result that we made!

You Don’t Have To Be An Artist or a Craftsperson - We enjoyed trying our hands at creating a mosaic. The teacher was so patient and clearly explained the process. She ensured that the pieces we made were “ours” and something to be proud of.

A great experience - I have been enjoying the various mosaics around Rome. This experience was wonderful. Nadia was a great teacher. Very patient with us learning this new skill. It was very relaxing sitting down and creating a tile to enjoy at home. I would give it a 6 star rating out of 5 stars.
