- Corinth Canal - Depart from and drive along the coast line until we reach the Corinth Canal where we will make a brief stop.\n\nThe Corinth Canal connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland, arguably making the peninsula an island. \n\nls considered one of the great engineering accomplishments of Greece.\n\nThe canal was dug through the Isthmus at sea level and has no locks. It is 6.4 kilometres (4 mi) in length and only 21.4 metres (70 ft) wide at its base. The canal was constructed from 1880 to 1893, however, it is something that shipowners and captains had dreamed about for some 2000 years before it became a reality.\n- Ancient Corinth (Archaia Korinthos) - Ancient Corinth was one of the most important cities of ancient Greece. It was this megalopolis where the Apostle Paul arrived, worked and established a prosperous church, and later on he wrote two of his epistles, which are now part of the New Testament. We will visit the ruins of the old city where St. Paul worked\n\nYou will admire also the Temple of Apollo, that is one of the oldest temples in Greece dating back to the 6th century B.C.

Ancient Corinth is a must see. - This tour was a top highlight of our trip to the Mediterranean. Convenient pick up and drop off right at our rental apartment in a nice tour van. Our licensed tour guide Nia was amazing and well worth the slight extra charge. She took the time during our ride to Corinth to get to know us so that she could understand what we would be interested in hearing about. The ancient city of Corinth is certainly worth the drive to avoid the crowds in Athens for a place that is just as interesting.

Excellent half day trip to Corinth - Our group of 8 had a private half day tour to Corinth with Michael as our tour guide. The van was spacious and comfortable and Michael was a great guide. He gave us lots of background and history on the sights we saw and was able to answer all our questions. It was a very hot day and he was always sure to keep us well supplied with water. The tour itself was great and I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to venture out of Athens and see some more amazing ancient history!

Great Corinth Visit - Our driver, Michael, was fantastic. He was intelligent and very friendly. We visited the historical castle - which was an enchanting uphill walk.
