Great service, super professional! - We did 9 dives over the week we were in Isla with Squalo, some with Andres and some with Jesus, plus a whale shark snorkel with our family (a group of 10 adults, the most allowed on a boat for a WS tour) with Pana. The diving was excellent, but the real standout was the friendliness and service offered by Squalo all around. We had a wide variety of experience among the divers (from initial check-out dives to 20+years and 150 dives) and they tailored their approach perfectly to each person, always making sure we had everything, double checking equipment before we left the shop, and sending notes via WhatsApp for any questions and/or to set up the next day's plan. Some of us needed equipment and some didn't, and everything we rented worked great. We were there in late August, so the water was very warm and most of us did not use wetsuits. Manuel in the office was also super personable and handled the money aspect like a champion. No concerns with using either cash or credit cards here, everything posted correctly. The boats were super comfortable for our group and the Captains excellent. We all loved that both Andres and Jesus used quackers to get our attention - tank bangers are fine but quackers are really distinct! We saw tons of marine life, the highlight of which was on the night dive - highly recommended on Isla if you are comfortable with them. I've now done two and both were so chock-full of life that the dives seemed to be over in 15 minutes, even though we were down for 55.

The perfect day on a private charter with Andres, Manuel, and Valentine. - We had an amazing day on a private charter with Andres and his crew Manuel and Valentine. We did two dives/snorkels and stopped for a swim, and these guys were great. And it was super affordable to do the private boat option. First class service all the way. We will only use them when we visit Isla Mujeres from now on.

Awesome Diving - Had a great time diving with Squalo Adventures. We did 6 dives during our week stay on the island. All of the activities, from the interactions with Andres, to the actual dives with Lucy and Jesus, were a 10 out of 10. We highly recommend diving with Squalo Adventures!

Lindísimo - Absolutely amazing! We had such a great experience: very professional, they told us exactly when to do the tour according to the weather forecast, equipment was in good condition, the instructor was very aware of the different species underwater and showing us everything. Kind and helpful. They even offered me pictures and videos for my birthday!! We did not regret choosing diving instead of snorkeling as it's a better way to enjoy the impressive statues of the Musa. 100% recommended, have fun guys!

Roberto and Squalo are the best! - I had a wonderful experience diving with Roberto at Squalo. I got certified a few years ago but had only been diving once since then, so I was not super confident or comfortable but I really wanted to scuba dive while visiting Isla Mujeres. Roberto was so supportive and helped me gain confidence. We did two dives, one at MUSA and the other at the Manchones reef. The whole time he made sure I was okay and pointed out fun things to see. I recommend Squalo 100%, and Roberto, 200%! There’s a zillion different dive shops to choose from on Isla Mujeres, but for me from now on, it’ll only ever be Squalo and Roberto

I loved - Excellent experience, at first I was a little nervous because it was my first time, but Roberto, the instructor, was in charge of giving me confidence and security at all times so I could enjoy the dive better. He had a lot of patience and professionalism so I highly recommend them, I will surely return.

Best Dive Shop - Squalo Adventures is without a doubt, one of the finest dive operations I've seen. Andres, the owner, is committed, professional, and dedicated to making each experience unique and fun. Roberto has been both my daughter's and my instructor as we've pursued various levels of certification. He literally holds your hand, if necessary, guides you through the skills and dives, and offers a level of comfort that I appreciated when I felt nervous. Roberto is SO good at what he does; and his patience is never ending. It is obvious that he loves it, every dive feels like a new one even though he's been on thousands of dives around the island. Chuy, who is also a top notch instructor at Squalo, is equally wonderful and is an excellent ambassador for the shop and for the Isla Mujeres diving experience. Leandri is so helpful setting up dives, and keeping the shop running She is a true asset as she is often the first person you see when you step in. Whether you're a beginner or an expert diver, you will be happy you sought out Squalo!

Poor business ethics - Call ahead to confirm your trip before you show up to their shop. They didn’t bother calling me back and canceling my trip. I booked a 2 tank dive the day before (about 20 hours before). When I showed up at the time on my Viator ticket, the employee at the shop claimed I was as booked for the following day. At first, he tried calling other shops to fit me into their trip. After that failed, he tried to persuade me to do the two dives the following day, 12 hours before my flight home. I courteously declined and received a full refund. The first shop I booked the 2 dives through the Viator app called me immediately after the booking and canceled the reservation, because they were not able to fulfill it. The whole thing cost me two empty taxi rides. Poor business ethics.
