The Ruaha River is bustling with hippos and crocodiles, and the birdlife is extraordinary. Lions are frequently seen as they often lounge by the river, waiting for animals to come for a drink. A highlight of the park is the opportunity to see large prides of lions.

Trip to Prison Island and Nakupenda Island
Prison Island - Changuu Private Island - Also known as Changuu Island, a 30-minute boat ride from Stone Town’s shores will bring you to this island, once used by an Arab slave trader. Today, it is home to Zanzibar’s Giant Aldabra Tortoises. On the island, you can feed the tortoises, swim in the clear ocean, or snorkel among Stone Town’s stunning coral reefs.
Nakupenda Beach Nature Reserve - Discover the incredible underwater world through snorkeling before heading to the sandbank, a seemingly deserted and tranquil spot on the ocean. After a delicious lunch on the sandbank, relax in the sun, listening to the gentle waves before sailing back to Stone Town.
Kizimkazi Boat Trip
Kizimkazi - Located at the southern tip of the island, a picturesque drive will take you to Kizimkazi village. This area is home to several dolphin species, including bottlenose and humpback dolphins, which can be seen after a short boat trip from the village. If fortunate, you may swim close to the dolphins. Snorkeling is also part of the experience.
