Iquitos - Begin the day with a morning departure from Iquitos City, traveling by car to the port town of Nanay (Bellavista), where the Rio Nanay converges with the Rio Amazonas. Embark on a boat journey downriver for 70 KM (approximately 2 hours). During this riverboat trip, there is a wonderful chance to spot caimans, turtles, herons, pink river dolphins, snakes, and a variety of other flora and fauna along the riverbank.

Iquitos - Visit Monkey Island, a small island located about 15 minutes from the Maniti Lodge, home to a large number of monkeys in their natural environment. This visit offers a unique opportunity to observe and interact with a diverse range of monkeys, including the Sloth, Goeldi’s monkey, Tamarin monkey, Capuchin monkey, Yellow-Handed Titi monkey, Masked Titi monkey, Cebidae monkey, Wooly monkey, Squirrel monkey, Spider monkey, South American Coati monkey, and many more! In addition to the various monkey species, Monkey Island is also home to alligators, turtles, toucans, macaws, parrots, and more.

Iquitos - Enjoy a dolphin watching session at the camp, where there is a unique opportunity to see the pink freshwater dolphin. With some luck, there may also be a chance to swim with them in the main Amazon River.

Iquitos - In the evening, embark on a nocturnal nature hike to discover the various species that can be observed, such as lizards, snakes, spiders, and monkeys.

Iquitos - Start the day early to witness the sunrise over the Amazon River, followed by an animal observation excursion (via boat) offering the chance to see a variety of flora and fauna.

Iquitos - In the afternoon, explore lagoons and tributaries near the Maniti Lodge. Activities vary based on tourist preference and may include jungle hiking, canoe rides, fishing, plant education, animal observation, or simply relaxing with a refreshing swim in one of the lagoons or the Amazon River.

Palo Alto Observation Tower

Iquitos - Take a morning jungle hike (30-45 minutes) to reach “Palo Alto.”

Iquitos - Visit the unique “Palo Alto Mirador,” a lookout point with three observation deck levels, offering a bird’s-eye view of the lowland Peruvian Amazon from 5, 10, and 15 meters above ground. Spend the night here with excellent opportunities to observe various wildlife species in their natural habitat.

Iquitos - Engage in daytime exploration of the area, including hiking, canoe rides in the lagoon, and fishing (depending on passenger request).

Iquitos - In the evening, embark on a nighttime nature walk to discover the various species that can be observed, such as reptiles, spiders, and monkeys.

Iquitos - Participate in a morning bird watching session from “Palo Alto.”

Iquitos - Visit lagoons near the Maniti Camp Lodge, close to the Río Napo, which feature a great variety of palms, large trees, and beautiful landscapes.

Iquitos - Engage in a variety of activities based on passenger preference, such as trekking, canoe rides, fishing, plant identification, bird watching, or simply relaxing with a refreshing swim in one of the lagoons.

Iquitos - Return to Maniti Lodge in the late afternoon for lunch.

Iquitos - After dark, embark on a boat excursion in search of white and black caiman, as well as various night birds and other reptiles, while enjoying the symphony of sounds from the forest at night.

Return to Iquitos City

Iquitos - Take an early morning jungle hike to observe a vast number of monkeys, birds, and other wildlife in their natural habitat, while also learning about various Amazonian plants.

Iquitos - Depart from Maniti Lodge, heading to Iquitos City.

Iquitos - Visit a local native Indian tribe to learn about their history and customs.

Iquitos - Transfer to the airport or hotel, marking the end of the service.
