Day 1

Amazon Wonder Expeditions - • 9:00 AM: Transfer to the port of Bellavista Nanay. • Visit the Bellavista Nanay market to see local fruits and typical jungle foods like aguaje, suri edible worm, juanes, and various fish. • Board our boat. • Begin our journey from the Nanay River, observing the confluence and color differences of the waters. • Navigate through the Amazon River. • Arrive at the lodge and settle in. • Piranha fishing. • Boat ride on the Amazon River to spot gray and pink freshwater dolphins, with an opportunity to swim near them. Enjoy the sunset on the Amazon River. • Night walk through the jungle to experience the unique nocturnal biological activity, listening to forest sounds and spotting night-active species like fireflies, beetles, walking sticks, frogs, tarantulas, and snakes.

Day 2

La Isla De Los Monos - Visit Monkey Island to see up to 8 varieties of primates in their natural habitat, including Spider Monkeys, Woolly Monkeys, Titi Monkeys, Tamarin Monkeys, Pygmy Marmosets, Howler Monkeys, Squirrel Monkeys, and Monk Sakis. A fascinating place for both children and adults to interact and learn about jungle species.

Continue navigating up the Amazon towards the Yanayacu river basin, a blackwater river rich in flora and fauna, known as the jungle of mirrors. Search for exotic birds, mammals, insects, primates, sloths, and witness the incredible biodiversity along the riverbank.

Night lake excursion by canoe to hear the rainforest’s nocturnal sounds and observe various animals like nocturnal birds, caimans, snakes, electric eels, and more.

Day 3

Amazon Wonder Expeditions - Early morning (around 5:30 AM) canoe ride on the blackwater lake for bird watching. Spot different species such as kingfishers, toucans, jacanas, herons, hawks, falcons, and the prehistoric Hoatzin bird.

Ethnobotanical jungle walk. Explore the jungle to discover medicinal plants and learn about the relationship between plants and humans. Search for wildlife and observe animals like monkeys, sloths, insects, birds, rodents, reptiles, and amphibians in their natural habitat. See various emergent trees of the jungle.

Return to the city.
