Following this, the tour proceeds to Parque Lage, located at the base of Corcovado. This area is part of the Tijuca Forest, one of the largest urban rainforests globally, and is rich in history and charm.
Next, enjoy lunch at a traditional “pay-by-weight” restaurant, a typical dining experience in Rio (not included).
The tour continues with a visit to the exterior of Maracanã Stadium, followed by a trip to the Centro to see Cinelândia (Municipal Theater) from the outside and explore the Municipal Cathedral from the inside.
The journey then takes you to Santa Teresa, a delightful bohemian neighborhood in Rio, celebrated for its art, colonial architecture, and the famous yellow tram.
The tour also includes a visit to the vibrant Selarón Steps, a renowned Rio landmark.

Best river city tour - We love the city tour experience in Rio! The route goes through the main sights and was all very well organized. We were able to see the places calmly, take pictures and enjoy each stop without rush.
The guide was extremely attentive, punctual and explained everything with a lot of knowledge and sympathy. You can see that he really likes what he does and knows a lot about the history and curiosities of the city, which made the tour even more interesting.
The place chosen for lunch was also excellent, with very good food and a pleasant atmosphere — a great time to rest and recharge before continuing the tour.
It was a full day, well spent and that exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend for those who want to know Rio in a practical, comfortable way and with great explanations!

Best City Tour of Rio De Janeiro - Exploring Rio with Brazil Expedition was truly one of the highlights of my entire trip. Their Rio City Tour didn’t just take me to the landmarks — it made me feel the heartbeat, history, and soul of this incredible city.
From the start, everything was smooth, organized, and welcoming. Our guide Ricardo was absolutely incredible — knowledgeable, funny, patient, and so passionate about Rio. He shared stories, history, and local insights that made every stop come alive. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and it made the entire experience unforgettable.
We began at the iconic Christ the Redeemer, where standing above the clouds felt spiritual and surreal — one of those travel moments you carry with you long after you leave.
Next, we visited the stunning Municipal Opera House, a true architectural gem that looks like a European palace in the heart of Rio. The details inside are breathtaking.
We then explored the lush beauty of Parque Nacional da Tijuca, the largest urban rainforest in the world. Driving through the greenery, hearing birds echo in the distance, and stopping at scenic viewpoints made me fall in love with Rio’s natural side. The balance between nature and city here is something you can only understand when you experience it yourself.
A major highlight was seeing the legendary Maracanã Stadium. Even just standing inside or walking around it gives you goosebumps — you feel the passion, culture, and football history that Brazil is famous for.
We continued through the artistic neighborhood of Santa Teresa, full of colorful houses, murals, cozy cafés, and that warm bohemian charm. It’s one of those places you instantly connect with.
After the tour, we enjoyed a lovely lunch buffet — fresh, delicious, and exactly what we needed after a full day of exploring. It was the perfect way to recharge.
What I really appreciated was the flexibility at the end: Brazil Expedition let us choose between heading to Sugarloaf Mountain for the final stop or returning comfortably to our hotel for drop-off. That level of care and convenience made the experience feel even more special.
Brazil Expedition didn’t just show us Rio — they made us feel Rio. With stunning sights, hidden gems, culture, nature, food, and the best guide we could’ve asked for (thank you, Ricardo!), it was a day I’ll remember forever.
If you’re visiting Rio and want the perfect blend of adventure, culture, and local insight, this tour is a must.

The best tour to see the main of Rio! - The truth is that I recommend this tour because it is very complete, it takes you to all the most important points of Rio, the guide Joao very piola and explained us very perfect everything! It is very appreciated because you go in a van and they wait for you to take pictures!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - I recommend the tour. I did not know Rio de Janeiro and I was lucky enough to choose this company! My guide was João Henrique, and I couldn't really have better luck! Very lively, pedagogical and with a very accessible portuñol.

Excellent experience - We took the tour and it was a success, we have been 3 times in Rio and we knew a lot of the places, but going with the agency we found wonderful, super accurate in the schedules, self-air conditioned, excellent driver and guide, it was a wonderful experience

From the beginning the team was super attentive and left everything organized, without headaches, were totally willing to make the tour wonderful and unforgettable. During the tour gave to enjoy a lot, it was light, fun and with that climate of travel between friends, I loved every visit.
