Great Intro - Great introduction to Samba. Although I felt like I had two left feet, the experience was fun. Highly recommend it for a night out with your special person.

Amazing - Marci Samba class has this infectious, lively rhythm and energy that tends to get people moving. It’s highly percussive and expressive. Even for people who are just watching, there’s a sense of joy and vibrancy that comes through.

Loved the class! - Marco was so fun. The samba class was so fun! My friends and i enjoyed ourselves a lot. The class was accommodating to our dance skills!

Good but crowded don't worry about shoes - Class was good and we learned some steps, but even with moving to a bigger space was too crowded and couldn't really see the dance instructor. Was about a 45 min class and we did it barefoot

We will return! - Excellent fun - we all had a go at learning the samba. Macro was very encouraging and we all gave it a good go! Next trike in Rio we will return for lesson 2.

Very disappointing experience and rude staff - I was extremely disappointed with this samba class, specifically the staff and the way they treated us. I specifically booked a private class and private transfer to Pedra do Sal for my group, and this was not honoured at all. We were left waiting over 30 mins on the side of the road with a large group, with no communication or explanation. Eventually, buses pulled up already full of random people, which was completely different from what we had agreed and paid for. No one explained why the original agreement wasn’t being honoured. Only afterwards were we told that our group was “too big for them to handle with private transfers”, something that should have been clearly communicated from the very beginning, not once we had already committed. Marco, the teacher, was genuinely lovely and the highlight of the experience. However, even the class itself wasn’t fully private as promised. Other people came in and sat watching for the last 15–20 minutes, which felt intrusive and unprofessional given what we had booked. The guides were completely unprofessional, seemed more interested in partying and hanging out with their friends than managing the group, and one guide was outright rude and raised his voice at me, which is unacceptable. Overall, the experience felt misleading and poorly managed. I would strongly advise others to be very cautious when booking, especially if you’re promised anything “private”. I would not recommend this experience.
