Great trip through the countryside in Scotland - Martene was great. She was on time when we exited the ship. We anticipated a larger group but we were pleasantly surprised when there were only 4 of us. She did a great job sharing information about the area. There is a large amount of driving to get to the locations. The Inverary Castle was wonderful. We had time to view and shop at the castle. The town of Inverary is small. (Only a few places to have lunch - pick quick since if a large bus arrives, they book out entire establishments for lunch. We ate at Brambles cafe. Food was good. Staff was great and quick.) We also drove around Loch Lomond. Beautiful countryside. Martene kept us entertained and even tried to teach us some Scottish. When we got back to the ship, we wanted to visit a store so she dropped us off at a Tesco (their version of Walmart). Great day.

Well worth the relaxing ride! - Found our young Scottish guide Craig just outside the cruise terminal as directed. The Mercedes-Benz was very clean and comfortable. Craig was very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. He wisely took us to the castle first to avoid crowds and it was lovely. Luss was a bit crowded but a beautiful day and many locals were at the beach. He even dropped us off at a local market by the terminal. It was a great price and well worth it for a relaxing private tour. Would highly recommend it.

We had a very nice tour... - We had a very nice tour with Shawn. He was delightful and shared a lot of very good information with us. There were just 4 of us in his Mercedes Vehicle. Very comfortable. We all had a lovely time. He always got us to very good Rest Rooms along the way too. The weather cooperated for the most part. Great pictures to help us remember Scotland.

A superb experience! - From the beginning it was a very pleasant experience and activity. We were in a cart with guide Paul and just another couple. Paul was very friendly and always telling the local history. Loch Lomond is beautiful and its picturesque houses are very loving! We loved the castle and the fact that Paul took us on purpose to the locality of Inverary, indicating us a pub where we had a superb fish and lagostins lunch!

Amazing day trip for our family of 4 - We absolutely loved our drive through the countryside! (Tip, the roads are quite hilly and winding, so if you're not used to that. some motion sickness pills beforehand are well worth it.) The driver picked us up right outside the cruise terminal, and it couldn't have been easier. Saved a ton vs. the overpriced excursions on the ship. The drive to Loch Lomond was picturesque, the little town so quaint and beautiful. Our 6 & 8 year olds enjoyed it and seemed to grasp some of the history. Our guide took plenty of family photos for us, and even watched the kids at the playground so mom & dad could enjoy the gift shop uninterrupted. Next, we drove to Inverary and ate lunch. Another quaint little town, our guide knew right where to park and got us quickly into an awesome old pub. After a great meal (which had a kids' menu), we took some more family photos inside and headed to the castle. As fans of the show Downton Abbey, we were excited to visit the castle featured in the episode "A Journey to the Highlands". Last we drove to "Rest and beautiful Thankful" which is an amazing scenic overlook with the valley in front and a mountain behind. We were happy to see these parts of Scotland and absolutely recommend this tour. It was great with our family of 4.

Disappointing - Our driver was very nice, but unfortunately for those in the back of the van we couldn’t hear anything he said. What’s more, he gave very little information about anything we were driving past even to the front passenger. I believe a taxi driver would have given us more information. If you are only looking for a driver without commentary, perhaps this is a good choice. I feel personally this was a rather expensive option to not have the benefit of a true guide. I would not choose it again. I gave it 3 stars because the driving was good and he was responsive on what’s app for picking us up and taking us about.
