- Rest and be Thankful - Enjoy a brief photo opportunity at the ‘Rest and be Thankful’. This name originates from the words inscribed on a stone near the intersection of the A83 and the B828, by soldiers who constructed the original military road in 1753. The road was so lengthy and steep that it became customary for tired travelers to pause at the summit and express gratitude for reaching the highest point.
- Inveraray Castle - The tour price includes a guided visit to Inveraray Castle, the residence of Clan Campbell.
- Inveraray - Following the castle tour, there is time to explore this 18th-century town, known for its distinctive white-washed buildings. The town is a splendid example of Scottish Georgian architecture. Visitors can also enjoy a leisurely lunch here.
- Kilchurn Castle - From Inveraray, the journey continues to the impressive Kilchurn Castle, located at the head of Loch Awe, surrounded by towering mountains. There will be a short stop for photos of this mid-15th-century fortress.
- Luss - The final stop of the day is on the shores of Loch Lomond at the charming highland village of Luss. This conservation village is a popular destination for tourists and pilgrims, having been a Christian settlement for at least 1500 years. Evidence of Viking raids in 1263 can be seen in the ‘hogback’ grave, a stone sculpture, in the ancient churchyard. The interior of Luss Parish Church, founded by the Celtic Saint MacKessog, has been beautifully restored and features a unique timber roof design and exquisite stained glass.
