Great experience with the best guide! - We had a fantastic tour with our guide Ferry. He explained everything to us great and took photos for us with a lot of patience. This day will be remembered for a long time!

Great experience, definitely recommendable!!! - Our driver put in a lot of effort and was very friendly. The tour was very exciting and we were picked up and brought back directly from our accommodation in Yogyakarta, although it was not in the list of pick-up locations.

For those seeking a bit of Adventure! - We had the best time in this adventure. It was a good balance of excitement and somber information about the volcanic eruptions and the devastating destruction caused. This was good for those who cannot hike up to the actual volcano, but want to learn and experience a beautiful and exhilarating day! Our guide Ruddy was friendly, knowledgeable and fun and shared that he survived an eruption while losing everything.

Good fun - Picked up at my hotel on time and the drive to the volcano was about an hour. I then got in a jeep and we visited the bunker, a small museum of the 2010 eruption and then driving in a river. Both drivers were really friendly and spoke good English. The weather was cloudy so couldn’t see the top of the volcano but it was still good fun.

Super fun and exciting experience! - It was a really fun and exciting experience. Jungle, excursion and volcanos! Our drivers (two of them) were so kind and helpful. A big thank you to both of them! We very much enjoyed the jungle tour and highly recommend it for those who will travel to Yogyakarta!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Incredible experience with top guides Estri and Fanny! - Today we joined a tour to the Merapi volcano, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience—mainly thanks to our amazing guides.
From the very beginning, we were picked up by Estri, a fantastic young woman who welcomed us with great enthusiasm and warmth. During the ride to the jeeps, she openly shared stories about herself and daily life in her community. We had a very pleasant and insightful conversation about cultural differences—it felt truly personal and meaningful. She also gave us interesting information about the surroundings we passed on the way.
The jeep tour itself was led by Fanny, a young, energetic guide with a deep passion for the Merapi volcano. He provided clear and engaging explanations about the landscape, the eruptions, and their impact on the region. At the Merapi Museum, he brought the story to life with genuine enthusiasm.
Both Estri and Fanny are absolute stars—friendly, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about their work. We highly recommend this tour and especially these two fantastic guides!

Good guides, but clouds don't compensate - The driver (Ferry) great. Very nice and explaining many things (not only Merapi, from Indonesia in general). With the tour you have to be lucky, if there are clouds you can see nothing and everything stays in a jeep ride. The best time is at dawn. The good score is for both drivers (also the 4x4 guide very kindly) but if there are clouds I would not repeat
